My son wants to pursue some course on the Bio side after his 12th Standard. Can you please suggest which of the 3 is better with respect to a good career 1. BTech Bio technology 2. Bio Informatics 3. Bio medical engineering. Also please suggest good colleges for the same. Regards Bala G

Ans: Hi Bala
Biomedical is the first choice. Through Jee you can get IIT-Hyderabad, BIT Mesra. Then comes private universities like VIT, AMITY, LPU, SASTRA etc

With b.tech courses, you can go into the production or research facilities of the company. If you dreamed to be a doctor then go for BAMS.

My son has completed XII with PCMB with decent percentage. His NEET did not go satisfactory, but with his JEE MAins score he can get strems like Mechanical,, chemical, Civil and Biotech at DTU and NSUT. He is interested in Biotech as it was a passion that led him to choose bio in +2 years. However, he is confused about the future scope of biotechnology. Please advise on the possible options after BTech in biotech

Read your question and noted the contents.

As your Son is very much interested in and have been a passionate over Biotechnology, it is highly recommended for him to join Biotechnology at DTU which is not only reputed but also has good Campus Recruitment Records.

If he joins any other stream, he might get demotivated.

Biotechnology also has a good future if he performs well continuously till he completes his BTech to get placed through Campus Recruitment.

If he likes and/or you can afford for, you can also consider him for his MS Abroad Education.

Ans: With 83.92 percentile (OBC category) in JEE Mains, getting CSE in top NITs/IIITs is difficult, but you might have chances in lower NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs in later rounds or spot rounds.

i have 100 shares of reliance petroleum limited on ipo in 1995.tody how many shares

Ans: Hello;

At the time of merger(Mar-2009) the swap ratio was 16:1.

So for every 16 shares of Reliance petroleum you may expect 1 share of RIL.

Therefore 6 RIL shares as on today.(fractional amount will be paid in cash by RIL)

Considering 3, 1:1 bonus share by RIL thereafter leads to around 48 RIL shares as on today.
