Respected sir, My son,23 yrs of age, last month cleared the last backlog of the BE degree in EC. His is 2023 batch but he lagged behind by 10 months due to his knee surgery and rehab. Now he is low in spirits because of the lag as well as the prevailing bleak job prospects. First he thought of equipping him with coding skills but now he wants a non coding and non technical job like project management, customer responsibility management etc. Actually he is not clear of what is best for him and what skill set will fetch him the job having a very good and reliable growth potential. Please guide him on taking the next right step by counselling him about the available careers with interesting growth prospects. Thank you Please guide him

Ans: Now let's talk about what he wants to do? He must realize that not everyone needs to do coding. There are lots of other jobs in sales, marketing, Customer relationship management. He should look for those jobs. There is no shortage of jobs for those willing to get started. You have to motivate him that he needs to be on the look out for a job.

Do let him share final score in the BE, which college and university. Does his college have a placement cell? Will they not consider him for placement this year considering that he lost time due to medical reasons. Perhaps a special request to the college will help.
