i am a production engineer completed graduation in 2020 worked in IT company for 3 months realised that this industry is not for me quit that job started preparing for banking exam (ibps) and now selected as an assistant in lic hfl i am going to join this what piece of advice would you like to give me to prosper in my carrier

Hi, I am 38 years old and I was working in Tech Support company since 2010 now I am planning to switch my career in other field. So I am preparing for Azure AZ 104 exam and MBA as well. Will that enough for now. I know I need to work hard and maybe my past experience will not count and I need to join like a fresher. If you have any other suggestions or something.

Ans: Can look at executive MBA course. Students with upto 15 years experience do Executive MBA from top B schools like ISB, IIM A, B, C. Else reskill yourself in the area of your interest and look for relevant jobs.

I am 35 year old and holding 5+ years of experience in various domains after completing Deploma in Mech Engg QA-1year(automobile industry 2011-12). 2012-2018-- Degree in Mechanical Engg. Meanwhile due to financial issues I had work with 2/3 companies for short time of period and left because of Exams, whatever work like service engineer and Quality related work I attended. After completing my Graduation in Mechanical Engg I rejoin small firm which was dealer and distribution industry for metal cutting tools. due to convid these company was shutdown and then 2021 I switched to BPO industry and now from April 2023 to till date I am working in Supply chain Management in Infosys as a Sr Executive now could you please advise what should I do because it's really challenging to adapt new skills with less salary I am unable to take risk of new learning. And also facing money problems as now I have to run entire family shall I have to start any business or what should I do to save and retrack my career?

In my opinion, you should continue to develop your expertise in supply chain management. Given your current role at Infosys, aim to gain more responsibilities and prove your value within the organization. You may also consider obtaining supply chain management certifications like APICS (now ASCM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Six Sigma. These can increase your marketability and potential for promotions or salary increases.

Hi, My sister is married and lives jus couple of house away from our home both sister and husband work at an MNC they are blessed with baby boy. I to got married recently and we are planning for baby. My wife has an issue wherein my sister almost mon to fri drops her kid at our home from morning to evening stating they have office work and this is affecting my wifes mind i am not sure what i need to do. Ever heard of the word, 'NO'? It's used to draw boundaries. Of course, since it's family that you are talking about here, you can soften the 'NO' BUT never give explanations as people can latch on to that and find another way to push the boundary.

When you push back your sister and family, there is bound to be some disappointment from them, but when you know that it's going to help your wife and you, then be firm about it. Someone maybe unhappy and that does not mean that you have spoiled anything...it simply means that they are learning newer ways of adapting to newer arrangements of living and leading life.

I have since my growing age where i felt i cannot make friends, over the years i find cannot conversate with others, i just hello, good morning to say cannot go beyond, i just to others for work related things do not have casual, friendly chat in the office or outside. Cannot go for expensive therapy, place bangalore. Govt set up usually offers medicines, counseling but not therapies

Join Toastmasters Club (look up the Internet for more on this) or any public speaking clubs that will enable you to not just speak but build on your confidence. For growing your social circle, move around with people who share similar interests such as yours. Maybe hiking, trekking, painting...This will ensure that you have opportunities to not just meet people but also connect with them through sharing experiences and thoughts. Slowly, but surely...

Ans: I understood. You feel stagnant. Am I right? Do you have an MBA in Marketing? If not then immediately go for an online MBA ( Marketing) so that you can boost your career. Ans: He can go for online certification courses. Secondly he should learn the particular softwares related to Mechanical Engineering. In prefinal year through the training and placement cell of the college he can apply for Internship. But the best internship for core Mechanical Engineering is to have hands on experience in some 2 -wheeler/Auto Rickshaw/4-wheeler servicing centre. That can be the best internship. Ans: First think get rid of Phobia. You need to strengthen your base. I recommend you the Engineering Mathematics book of B.S.Grewal. It will help you. You need a book where there are many problems along with solutions. For your case conventional text books written by Foreign authors won't serve the purpose. You need an MADE EASY type of book. Hi, I am 53 years old and recently lost my job. I have been trying very hard to secure a new position but see no possibilities so far. My applications often get rejected for being overqualified in my own industry. I have tried applying to other industries, but they do not consider my candidature. I am an electronics engineer with around 24 years of experience in technical sales, software solutions, and system integration. Do you have any suggestions for courses or certifications that could help me transition to another sector? I believe I still have 10 more productive years to work.

Ans: Yes, Why not. Just go for a certification course in AI and Machine Learning from a reputed institute which is having collaboration with an established IIT like Bombay/Roorkee.
