It is highly recommended that you focus only on PCM and keep your eyes only on JEE (Mains + Advanced).

Even for Mechanical Engineering you can see the ranking of the colleges in net. Another option is Production Engineering, if he doesn't get Mechanical, though in very few colleges Production Engineering is there. I think he will definitely get Mechanical. I couldn't understand why are you thinking of Management quota at the starting. Let him compete. If he fails then question of management quota will arise.
