How can I know ? that I need to work on personality development

Here are some signs you may look at-

If you are facing any communication challenges and you struggle putting across your thoughts will complete clarity due to which conflicts/ misunderstanding / arguments might have occurred

If you often feel low on confidence in various situations, addressing self esteem and self confidence through personality development can make a positive impact.

If you find yourself struggling to maintain a strong and positive relationship then enhancing interpersonal relationships, empathy and emotional intelligence can improve your ability to connect with others.

You find yourself in various situations like - lacking in been assertiveness, inability to handle stress, you often procrastinate, struggle in managing time, negative attitude, difficulty in accepting feedback, lack of goal clarity.

Please know that personality development will be an ongoing process. Importantly self awareness is the key.

It's great that you are looking to enhance your professional and personal development.

Few aspects you can consider-
To enhance your communication skills you can at joining Toast Masters or some similar platforms. These forums will give you opportunity to work on your public speaking skills
You can do self practice by doing recordings of your own. This will help you identify the gaps to work upon.
Take help of friends and family who can regularly help you in articulating your thoughts.
Take relevant courses which will help you get the right job
Network with the people from the industry as this will open doors of opportunities. Attend industry related events this way you expand your connections
Seek professional guidance like career counselling or coaching
Importantly believe in your self and have patience. Keep practicing.

As humans we all have some empty parts and broken sides, we need to embrace and accept them.

Yes there is always a scope for growth and improvement and one should take that up but not at the cost of self flogging.

Ask yourself which part of your personality you sincerely believe you want to make changes and then start making those changes slowly...don't expect everything will change overnight...we humans are not like a switch ...that can be tuned on or off...

The fact that you are open to embracing change in itself is a start. Wishing you the very best.

Ans: You have not mentioned your son's home state. Given his rank, securing a CSE seat in NITs may be challenging, but admission to ECE in some NITs and CSE/IT/ECE in several IIITs is more realistic, especially during the later JoSAA and CSAB rounds. Consider applying to IIIT Una, IIIT Kottayam, IIIT Dharwad, IIIT Kalyani, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Raichur, IIIT Manipur, and IIIT Agartala. For ECE, newer and mid-tier NITs and IIITs are good options. The CSAB special rounds are crucial as they fill vacant seats after JoSAA. Through JoSAA/CSAB, fill IIIT Una, IIIT Sonepat, IIIT Kalyani, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Manipur, IIIT Raichur, IIIT Dharwad, but CSE/ECE may mostly depend on CSAB vacancy movement. You must have backup options of JAC Chandigarh, HSTES Haryana, Punjab colleges, IPU Delhi, Private Universities, and State counselling. Ans: Chances with South NITs are slim. You may try for lower branches in lower NITs. Yet the chances are on the borderline. Better to keep an alternative option open.
