I got 98 % in 10th boards. I am interested in computer science and I believe I have strong English skills. I am confused whether to go for engineering or humanities (with economics). I am good in maths but don't like physics and chemistry.What should I do

Ans: Ishani, Your 10th Board Score is excellent.

As you do not like in Physics & Chemistry, but good in Maths, it is highly ideal to go for Humanities Stream and appear in CUET

Prepare well for CUET to get admission into any one of the top Central/State Universities for any domain, you are much interested, that can be Economics, Psychology, Management, Law etc.

Before start preparing well for CUET, do a thorough research about this Exam and try to score above 97% to have multiple of options of Top Central/State Universities & Streams to choose the most suitable domain for you.

However, have Plan B & Plan C also by appearing in 2-3 more Entrance Exams of reputed Private Colleges offering courses as back-ups, instead of relying only on CUET.

Hello sir, I am a 11th grade student. Now iam very confused amd depressed that what should i study now. Let me tell my goals. 1st thing is i want to get top 3 rank in my school examination and 2nd is to prepare for JEE MAIN examination and 3rd is to complete 12th std portions before May month 2025 to score a very good mark in my 12th board examination at 2026. And i also need to complete my JEE MAINS portions before november month for my Jee mains examination which is at Jan month and i need to crack it with 99 percentile at my first attempt and get into any one of the prestigious colleges. But iam very confused that what engineering should i choose. According to me I love all the engineering fields but i need to choose a field which will give the highest salary.These are the things that are revolving in my mind. Can you please give me perfect solution for my 5 confusions..

Without taking an examination, without any score in hand, without any college in hand, without any course in hand, you are thinking and thinking and thinking for no reason. The goals/targets set by you are appreciable. But to convert them into reality, you have to work hard and excel in all the examinations. The highest salary is not only based on your degree or only on the college name. There are a lot of other parameters. Your journey is very long. Please keep your eyes only on your studies. Crack JEE (Mains + Adv) with a high score, get admission to a top IIT college, and choose the best course of your liking. Excel in the engineering then test the flavour of success. Best of luck for your upcoming bright future.

My class 10th exams with 95% overall I score 99 in biology 92 and mathematics I prefer both subject equally I have a keen interest in physics(95%) I'm struggling to choose between PCM and bcb in class 11th because I am not sure whether I am better suited for biology or mathematics in West Bengal student prayer prefer PC MB but I feel might concerned about handling the pressure of 4 core subjects have already advised me to go for PCM for engineering and PCB for medical but my problem is I am not able to understand that I am should I go for biology or should I go for math with PCM of PCB can you please suggest what stream might be more suitable for me considered considering my strength and interest?

Hi, I finished my 12th in 2024 but scored only 62% in it.....first I wanted to build up my career in merchant navy i also got the company's offer letter but unfortunately I had an injury in my shoulder and rn I'm not medically fit and gonna fail in the medical test.....so now I'm thinking of to do btech but I didn't give jee plus scored just 300 in cuet.....my uncle is saying to choose ECE and one of my friend is suggesting to choose ME......now I'm a bit confused what should I choose ..??? Also I'm getting CE, ME & EE in Galgotia College and other than cse all branches in Galgotias university????.........I'm a lil bit weak in electronics but if I'll work hard on it i can do it eventually same about the automobiles

Since you're shifting from merchant navy to engineering, focus on what interests you more. ECE offers flexibility in tech fields, while ME suits those interested in machines and design. You're weak in both but willing to improve, which is good. Prefer ECE or ME at Galgotia College. Suggesting to prefer ECE if possible. The final decision will be yours.

Dear Sir, I did my BTech from a normal engineering college not very famous. The teaching was not great and hence i did not study well. I tried my best to learn coding including all the technologies like html,css,javascript,react js,dba,php because i wanted to be a web developer But nothing seem to enter my head except html and css. I don't understand a language which has more complexities. Is it because of my lack of experience or not devoting enough time. I am not sure. I did many courses online and tried to do diplomas also abroad which i passed somehow. I recently joined android development course because i like apps but the teaching was so fast that i could not memorize anything. There was no time to even take notes down. During the course i did assignments and understood the code because i have to pass but after the course is over i tend to forget everything. I attempted a lot of interviews. Some of them i even got but could not perform well so they let me go. Now due to the AI booming and job markets in a bad shape i am re-thinking whether to keep studying or whether its just time waste. Since 3 years i am doing labour type of jobs which does not yield anything to me for survival and to pay my expenses. I have the quest to learn everything but as soon as i sit in front of the computer i listen to music or read something else. What should i do to stay more focused? What should i do to make myself believe confident. Is there still scope of IT in todays world? Kindly advise.

I am 61. I have a partial removable denture(upper). I also have bridges in both upper and lower. I was suggested to go for implants. Will it be okay to go for implants at a later part of the life. Is it safe both health and moneywise ? Will it be cheaper if we go for full implant with 4 in one ; if so it may need to wait for few more year let other teeth will also fall.. Please guide and advise on implants

Please be assured, AGE isn't a barrier for implants. But overall health is a factor. Your dentist will assess your bone density, gum health, and general medical history before he places your implants.

Implants have some definite advantages over removable dentures. They provide a stable and secure fit, improved chewing and speech.
And with proper care may last for 10-15 years or more.
On the negative side, upfront cost of implants can be higher, surgery cannot be avoided and healing can take 3-6 months.

Cost-wise, Implants can be more cost-effective in the long run.
"All-on-4" implants might be cheaper than individual implants, but waiting might lead to deterioration of bone health, making the process more complex.

Consult your dentist about:
- Your specific oral health situation
- Bone density scan (to check if you have enough bone for implants)
- Cost estimates and financing options
- Timeline for the procedure.

My 12 year old son has 2 parallel lines of teeth. One front and the other behind. So far in the behind only 2 teeths are there one in each side. Will this cause any serious issues for him? He has speech problem. Could this be the reason? Does he need to take any immediate corrective procedure?

Ans: Hello
This situation of "2 parallel lines of teeth" arises when permanent teeth erupt BEFORE the deciduous teeth (or milk teeth) have been shed. This indicates a mis-alignment of the permanent teeth. The shedding of milk teeth is dependent on the permanent teeth exerting pressure on them as they grow.
This mis-alignment, indeed, could be the cause of his speech problem.
My advice to you is to consult a competent pediatric dentist or an orthodontist (a dentist who realigns crooked teeth) soon so that corrective measures can be taken.

I went to dentist i got broken teeth cemented . dentist advised me not to chew anything with cemented teeth it's a life time instruction. Sorry to hear about your fall and the resultant damage to your teeth.
Honestly, it's best to follow your dentist's advice, but I understand your problem. Eating can be a challenge.
Please ask your dentist about sturdier alternatives like dental crowns or bridges. These can provide extra protection and might let you chew more comfortably.

In the meantime, stick to soft foods which do not put pressure on your compromised teeth, or soups. You can also try cutting your food into smaller pieces to reduce pressure on the tooth.

His dad is a cardiac patient and mom is being treated for cancer. He comforts me by saying he will get separated soon and we will get married because he only loves me. I don't know when he will separate from his wife. She knows about us too but she comes from a traditional family. She also confirmed there is no physical intimacy between them. I trust him, but is it worth losing my youth for him? Honestly, I am worried and very confused.

I understand how difficult it is to let go of a relationship you have built from scratch, but is it really how you want to continue? It really seems to be going nowhere. His parents are already in bad health and he married someone else for their happiness. Does it seem like he will be able to leave her? So many people’s happiness and lives depend on this one decision. I think it’s about time you and your BF have a clear conversation about the same. If he can’t give a proper timeline, please try to understand his situation. But also make sure he understands yours and maybe rethink this equation. It really isn’t healthy. You deserve a love you can have wholly, and not just in pieces, and in the shadows.

Hi Anu, My husband doesn't do house chores. We both work full-time, but I still end up cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry. Every home has a different routine and share of responsibilities. So, there's no standard norm to challenge it as normal or not!
So, if you want your husband to pitch in, then say it in clear terms, especially since he has told you to tell him what to do.
Once you have told him, do make sure to ask him: Will you find it convenient to do it now or later? If later, when?
This will ensure that he makes a statement of commitment, so there's no question of forgetting it, right? Play it smart...it's better than feeling bad about the situation or mulling over why something does not work.
