Sir My Son doing IEP program Computer Engineering with Thapar University Patiala and its 2+2 Credit Exchange program with Trinity College Dublin Ireland. Is this program worth for his future opportunities or he will continue his parent branch Robotics and AI here with Thapar University Patiala Campus.Which One is more worthful and having more career options. Please guide in detail. I shall be highly obliged and thankful.

Ans: Vikramm Sir, Your son’s IEP Computer Engineering program with a 2+2 credit exchange at Trinity College Dublin offers valuable international exposure, advanced curriculum, and global career opportunities, enhancing his academic and professional profile. Trinity’s reputation and research facilities provide a strong foundation for future studies or work abroad. However, adapting to a new country and higher costs are considerations. Alternatively, continuing with Robotics and AI at Thapar Patiala focuses on a specialized, high-demand field with excellent placements from top tech companies and a vibrant campus life. Thapar’s strong industry connections and infrastructure prepare students well for India’s growing AI and robotics sectors. Both options are worthwhile: the IEP program suits those seeking global exposure and broader computer engineering knowledge, while Robotics and AI at Thapar is ideal for early specialization with strong local opportunities. The best choice depends on your son’s career goals, willingness to study abroad, and preference for specialization versus broad learning. All the best for your Son's bright future!

I am perusing electrical engineering at Thapar university patiala. I wanted guidance about whether should I continue my b tech here for 4 years or should I opt for IEP program at Thapar university where i will peruse electrical engineering for 2 years at Thapar and 2 years at university of new south whales Australia.
Ans: Your career goals, financial situation, and desire for international exposure will all influence your decision on whether to complete your whole B.Tech at Thapar University or choose the International Engineering Program (IEP) allowing you to study two years at Thapar and two years at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia. Particularly if you want to work overseas or pursue further education, the IEP program presents a distinctive chance to have global experience, access advanced research facilities, and network with foreign colleagues, so greatly enhancing your employability. UNSW is a distinguished university, hence earning a degree from there could open doors to prospects both in Australia and abroad.

But given Australia's living expenses and higher tuition, the IEP program can be more costly. Halfway through your degree, you should also take some thought on the possible difficulties adjusting to a new academic system and culture. Completing your B.Tech totally at Thapar, a reputable university in India, could be a better option if your priorities are a career in India or if you would want a more financially sensible option. This road lets you seek worldwide prospects later through postgraduate courses or employment, and it lets you lay a strong basis in electrical engineering free from additional financial load.
