My daughter studying in M.Sc in Food and Nutrition 2nd Semester from Calcutta University. Please guide me as to how can she establish a bright career.

Ans: Hi Debasis, encourage your daughter to identify specific areas of interest within the field of food and nutrition and accordingly, pick up a specialsation and a niche. It could be in the areas of clinical nutrition, sports nutrition, public health nutrition, or food product development. The field of nutrition is constantly evolving with new research and trends, hence, it is advised to stay updated by reading research papers, attending workshops, webinars, and conferences, and pursuing certifications or Bootcamps in relevant areas. Practical experience plays an important role here. She could pursue internships, or research projects for stronger hands-on experience - all of these will strengthen her subject foundation /get insights into real-world applications.

Other than hard skills, she must also work on effective communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy, and adaptability - as these 'power skills' will help her excel in different roles and situations.
