Hi, My son just completed his BE (Mech). He was an average student through out and got 70+ percentile marks. He reluctantly took Mech branch and so not interested to pursue further MTech degree instead want to go for an MBA course in operational Management. Is this good decision or what are the alternate option to him. Kindly advice. Thanks and regards

Ans: Unnikrishnan Sir,

Doing MBA (any specialization) is comparatively easier than MTech.

As your Son is interested in pursuing MBA (Operational Management), he can proceed.

However, please ask him why he prefers Operational Management and whether he has done any RESEARCH about this field, top-colleges for this domain, campus placements etc.

This will enable you to be confident over him and he also will be.

I hope the above points are adequate for your Son, Unni Sir, to decide.

If you need any other clarifications for your Son or have questions for anyone, post your questions (in detail) to me and/or follow me here in RediffGURU to know more on ‘Careers / Education / Jobs’.

All The BEST for your Son’s Bright Future from RediffGURU.
