Ans: Deepak, Arjun, 96.4 percentile for EWS Category is good. As I've mentioned in response to similar questions over the past week, please check the JoSAA's opening and closing ranks for 2024 to get a general idea of the institutes and branches you may be eligible for, based on your EWS Category. Make sure to fill in your preferences accordingly during the JoSAA Counselling. For a better understanding of the JoSAA Counselling process, if time permits, I recommend watching one of the EduJob360 videos. It is advisable to appear for 3-4 more entrance exams (if fee would be affordable for yor parents) as back-ups to choose the most suitable one, instead of relying only on JEE. ll the Best for your Prosperous Future.

I would honestly recommend you to avoid ULIPs under all circumstances because they are inefficient both for insurance as well as investment returns.

It is better to buy adequate term life cover and invest in NPS and mutual funds for retirement and other financial goals.

I had to survive during the lockdown, so I withdrew everything from my EPF about 6 lakhs. I told myself I'd replace it later. But now I'm 38, with two kids and zero retirement savings. I feel like I made the biggest mistake of my life. Can I realistically rebuild in time?

No need to panic. That was your need at that point of time so it's okay.

First and foremost open an NPS account for retirement planning. It allows very limited withdrawals.

Invest in it as much as possible. You can also set-up monthly regular investment into NPS through D-remit feature.

Even if you invest 25 K per month in NPS you may expect a corpus of 1.8 Cr at the age of 60 assuming modest return of 8%.

Hi....i saw many of videos of financial experts on SWP ..stating better returns ,for example if i invest 1.25 cr in mf expecting a return of 12% and withdraw 1 lakh every month for 15 to 20 years then to my corpus will be same or much more ..if YES plz suggest some best SWP funds

Do not fall for it ever because their are vested interests. Keep in mind that if something is available for free then you are the product.

Ans: Adarsh, as per the Information Brochure of BITSAT 2025: Session Selection
Candidates can register for Session-1 or both sessions while submitting the application.
If the candidates initially register only for Session-1, they may opt for Session-2 later (application window: 26th May 2025 to 10th June 2025). Score Consideration :For candidates appearing in both sessions, the higher of the two scores will be considered for admission. According to this information, you may apply for both sessions or just for session 1. It is not possible to apply solely for session-2. The date has been extended until April 24th, with only 2 days remaining. It’s advisable to apply for both as a contingency if your primary focus is on BITS. All the best for your admissions!
