Sir, I have 65 percentile in jee mains. Should I choose btech cse at LPU or self financed btech cse seat at IUST Kashmir.

Ans: Syed, LPU demonstrates superior placement performance with 92.25% placement rate for BTech CSE and 91% overall placement rate, supported by 2,225+ recruiters including Google, Microsoft, and Amazon . The institution achieved 7,361 job opportunities for BTech batch 2025 with over 1,700 students receiving packages between ?10-100 LPA . IUST Kashmir shows moderate placement outcomes with 68% overall placement rate and 67.56% placement rate for 4-year UG programs, with median salary of ?5.40 LPA for BTech students . However, IUST offers significantly lower fees with regular BTech CSE costing ?2.48 lakh total (4 years) compared to self-financed seats at ?2 lakh additional fee, while LPU's total cost remains substantially higher . IUST provides government university status with NAAC B+ accreditation and NIRF #151 ranking, whereas LPU holds private university status with stronger industry connections but higher costs . Recommendation: Choose LPU BTech CSE for superior placement consistency, extensive recruiter diversity, and proven industry exposure, unless cost constraints make IUST's self-financed option financially preferable despite lower placement rates. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
