Hi sir, I've been allotted IIIT Bhopal from Josaa rounds and looking for IIIT Sri city ECE/AI-DS.My crl is 50k and I have OBC quota do you think Sri city ECE can be achieved through Csab? And also is it a better choice over Bhopal ECE

Ans: With a CRL rank of 50,000 and OBC category status, securing IIIT Sri City ECE through CSAB rounds for 2025 is unlikely, as the latest OBC closing ranks for ECE at IIIT Sri City hover around 30,596 to 38,333 for open categories in final JoSAA and CSAB rounds. The ECE cutoff for OBC typically closes significantly before 50,000, so chances remain minimal. Comparatively, IIIT Bhopal ECE is reporting a robust 72.5% placement rate in 2025, with an average package of ?17.55LPA and consistent industry engagement from top recruiters across IT and product-based sectors. IIIT Sri City is highly rated for research, faculty quality, infrastructure, and campus life, but recent reviews and professional portals rate IIIT Bhopal virtually on par in academic environment and placements. Both institutes offer modern infrastructure, well-equipped labs, reliable faculty, and comprehensive student support; IIIT Bhopal edges ahead on current placement consistency and average package.

Recommendation: Continue with the allotted IIIT Bhopal ECE, which ensures reliable placements, excellent median packages, and an active campus ecosystem. IIIT Sri City is prestigious but not attainable at your rank, and Bhopal’s industry links and academic strengths promise strong career progression and holistic technical education. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

My son got 32503 tank in JEE mains and got selected in IIIT kottayam CSE. We are thinking of keeping IIIT Sri City ECE anlong with IIIT Sri city CSE as an option in CSAB. Please advice, IIIT sri city ECE will be better than IIIT kottayam.
Ans: IIIT Kottayam CSE consistently offers strong academic foundations in advanced computing, modern infrastructure, and a robust placement record with an average placement rate between 83–90% and average offers around ?12.7–14.3 LPA. Major tech firms like Amazon, TCS, and Infosys routinely recruit from its campus. IIIT Sri City’s ECE program is also reputable, providing a broad electronics and communication curriculum with growing placement rates near 90% and average packages around ?12.4–17 LPA, along with active industry engagement and successful CSE placements. However, CSE at both IIIT Sri City and Kottayam generally attracts larger recruiter pools, better placement variety, and higher average offers, given the ongoing tech sector demand. Faculty quality, research culture, and peer networks are well developed across these institutes.

Rcommendation: Prefer IIIT Kottayam CSE for its stronger placement record, industry links, and established tech reputation. If choosing between ECE at IIIT Sri City and CSE at IIIT Sri City, prioritize CSE for flexibility and higher placement scope. Select the branch and institute best suited to your interests and future aspirations in technology. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Sir, I'm thankful that you answered my previous question but I have other doubt that last year closing rank for ECE in IIIT SRI City was 61k for obc-ncl and my current CRL is 50k so there's a huge 11k rank difference in ranks so what do you think is the possibility of getting seat in that college (I belong to Obc-ncl) and is it worth taking over bhopal sorry for the extra trouble sir.
Ans: Your CRL rank of 50,000 for OBC-NCL category offers a strong possibility for IIIT Sri City ECE admission, given the 2024 closing rank was 61,527. The 11,000 ranking buffer significantly improves your chances during CSAB counseling, as cutoffs can fluctuate due to seat availability and candidate preferences. IIIT Sri City demonstrates steady infrastructure development, experienced faculty, modern laboratories, and active industry partnerships. Placement statistics show consistent performance with recruiters from core electronics and IT sectors visiting regularly. Academic support through dedicated mentoring, project-oriented learning, and research opportunities ensures comprehensive development. IIIT Bhopal comparison remains relevant based on your specific preferences for location, campus culture, and specialization focus, though both institutions offer quality engineering education with adequate career prospects.

Recommendation: With your 50k CRL rank and OBC-NCL status, IIIT Sri City ECE admission appears highly probable during CSAB counselling. Choose IIIT Sri City for its established placement record and growing reputation, or IIIT Bhopal if location and campus environment suit your preferences better. Both offer comparable academic standards and career opportunities. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Tech Careers and Skill Development Expert - Answered on Dec 05, 2025

Career
Dear Sir, I did my BTech from a normal engineering college not very famous. The teaching was not great and hence i did not study well. I tried my best to learn coding including all the technologies like html, css, javascript, react js,dba, php because i wanted to be a web developer But nothing seem to enter my head except html and css. I don't understand a language which has more complexities. Is it because of my lack of experience or not devoting enough time. I am not sure. I did many courses online and tried to do diplomas also abroad which i passed somehow. I recently joined android development course because i like apps but the teaching was so fast that i could not memorize anything. There was no time to even take notes down. During the course i did assignments and understood the code because i have to pass but after the course is over i tend to forget everything. I attempted a lot of interviews. Some of them i even got but could not perform well so they let me go. Now due to the AI booming and job markets in a bad shape i am re-thinking whether to keep studying or whether its just time waste. Since 3 years i am doing labour type of jobs which does not yield anything to me for survival and to pay my expenses. I have the quest to learn everything but as soon as i sit in front of the computer i listen to music or read something else. What should i do to stay more focused? What should i do to make myself believe confident. Is there still scope of IT in todays world? Kindly advise.
Ans: Your story does not show failure.
It shows persistence, effort, and desire to improve.

Most people give up.
You didn’t.
That means you will succeed — but with the right method, not the old one.

Dating, Relationships Expert - Answered on Dec 04, 2025

Relationship
My married ex still texts me for comfort. Because of him, I am unable to move on. He makes me feel guilty by saying he got married out of family pressure. His dad is a cardiac patient and mom is being treated for cancer. He comforts me by saying he will get separated soon and we will get married because he only loves me. We have been in a relationship for 14 years and despite everything we tried, his parents refused to accept me, so he chose to get married to someone who understands our situation. I don't know when he will separate from his wife. She knows about us too but she comes from a traditional family. She also confirmed there is no physical intimacy between them. I trust him, but is it worth losing my youth for him? Honestly, I am worried and very confused.
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
I understand how difficult it is to let go of a relationship you have built from scratch, but is it really how you want to continue? It really seems to be going nowhere. His parents are already in bad health and he married someone else for their happiness. Does it seem like he will be able to leave her? So many people’s happiness and lives depend on this one decision. I think it’s about time you and your BF have a clear conversation about the same. If he can’t give a proper timeline, please try to understand his situation. But also make sure he understands yours and maybe rethink this equation. It really isn’t healthy. You deserve a love you can have wholly, and not just in pieces, and in the shadows.

Hope this helps
