Got 94k rank in jee mains at 93.688 percentile(general , female , rajasthan) .... Do I stand any chance in getting cse in good nit or iiit ? Should I apply for josaa or not ? ( I only want cse )
Ans: With a JEE Main rank of around 94,000 and 93.688 percentile in the General category from Rajasthan, your chances of getting Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in good NITs or IIITs are very slim. Typically, admission to CSE in top and mid-tier NITs requires a rank well within 25,000 or better, and for most IIITs, the closing ranks for CSE usually fall between 1,000 to 25,000, depending on the institute's tier. For example, top NITs like Surathkal and Warangal require ranks within the top 2,000 for CSE, while newer IIITs may have cutoffs up to 25,000. With a rank near 94,000, you are unlikely to get CSE in these institutes.
However, you may find seats in other branches like ECE, Mechanical, or Electrical in some NITs or IIITs where cutoffs are higher. Joining JoSAA counselling is still recommended to explore all available options and participate in seat allocation. Also, consider private universities or state-level colleges for CSE if you strictly want that branch. All the best for your admissions and a bright future!

I'm considering many private colleges. But I only want cse and won't be getting any from josaa because of my rank . So why to apply for josaa ?
Ans: You may consider participating in the CSAB counselling after the completion of JoSAA rounds, provided there are any vacant seats available. It would be helpful to review the opening and closing ranks from last year’s CSAB counselling for each campus to get a clearer understanding of your chances. Although this process can be time-consuming, it will give you valuable insights. Meanwhile, it is advisable to keep other options in mind as backups to ensure you have multiple pathways available.

Are there chances of me getting cse through csab at 94k rank ? Whats your opinion ?
Ans: Good question. Please go through the Opening & Closing Ranks of CSAB for CSE & for each Institute/Campus of last year to get an idea.

Got cse cat4 in vit vellore .... Scored 142 marks in met and 91 percent in boards ... Will I be able to get cse in manipal main campus.... And if yes which is better to take admission into ... Vit or manipal ?
Ans: With 142 marks in MET, your expected rank is likely between 1,800 and 2,500, which is above the usual cutoff for core CSE at MIT Manipal (typically within 1,200). Therefore, you are unlikely to get CSE at the main campus, though you may have a chance for allied branches like IT, Data Science, or CSE specializations. You already have CSE (Category 4) at VIT Vellore, which is a highly respected program with excellent placements and industry connections, though the fees are higher in this category. Recommendation: If your primary goal is to pursue core CSE, VIT Vellore (even in Category 4) is the better option given its strong placement record and academic environment. If you are open to allied branches and prefer Manipal’s campus or environment, consider those options. Both colleges are excellent, but for core CSE, VIT Vellore is the clear choice in your situation. Please note, Manipal is a NIRF Ranked | Reputed College with good Infrastructure & Placement records but might not be suitable for some students due to some non-academic reasons. Have a thorough research on Manipal online and/or personally visit the Campus before deciding to join it. All The BEST.

I'm getting 47 marks in jee adv ( general female ) .... Any chance that I might clear the cutoff ? ...like if paper level comes hard like 2022 ..... At these marks will I make it to crl ?
Ans: With 47 marks, you are unlikely to make it to the CRL or qualify for JoSAA counseling for IITs in the general category, regardless of paper difficulty. Consider other options through JEE Main or state-level counseling.
