Mh name is Srinivasan. I am new to MFs. I don't know how MFs are operate. But want to invest in MF. I am ok with Medium and Long Term funds. But should be a good one. How can i find a good one , which one Banks MF or Corporate MF. Please guide me. Thanks srinivasan

I want to start investing in MFs. I am a student. I can invest Rs 5,000 per month in any good MF to get 15-16 per cent returns. I want to remain invested for around three years. My goal is to collect Rs 5 lakh at the end of the third year. Please suggest the best MF. And also suggest the best platform to do this.

Ans: Rs 5,000 per month for three years will not be sufficient for a corpus of Rs 5 lakhs.

Hi , My Hba1c is 6.5-6.6 but sugar fasting is 100-110 and PP is varying 120-145 . These results are in same range since 2years .what does it means ? what should be the diet plan ? how to reduce Hba1c ? whether i am a diabetic ?pl suggest

Ans: A normal level for an HbA1c is below 5.7%.. Your level is indicative of diabetes. Normal fasting blood sugar is less than 100 mg/dl and your range of 100-110 mg/dl which suggests prediabetes. Focus on a balanced diet rich in whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of vegetables. Limit refined sugars, processed foods, and high-calorie snacks. Monitor portion sizes and spread meals throughout the day. Regular exercise helps lower blood sugar levels. Discuss your results with a registered dietician or your family physician.

Ans: Yes it is possible to get into IIMs if you are able to crack CAT. So start preparing for the entrance exams. If you diligently work and get a good percentile, you should be able to get into a good college.

Ans: A gap of 1 year is not a big problem. But it is recommended that you look out for job and study along with your job. Look for job that would give you atleast 3 hours daily to prepare for CAT.

I am 55 and currently struggling with my career. I lost my job 4 years ago during covid. I have a management diploma and currently working as visiting faculty teaching in management colleges, but the assignments are far few and unpredictable i am also a graguare in engineering and MA in psychology. Kindly suggest if studying some course or masters oibe will help me to get some online assignments for stable flow of income?

Ans: Not sure if doing courses would help you to get a stable income as most companies prefer younger employees. But can look at option of working in a startup / smaller company at a lower salary and then build a profile to help develop skill sets that would make you employable at a higher salary. It could also be possible that you could use your experience in your past work in your new job.

Ans: If you are already drawing 28 lpa, then leaving a job for doing MBA does not seem to be a good option. But can analyze the placements in these top Executive MBA course. Check if the profiles that they provide are of interest to you. Their average package should be 30+ lpa. Look also at an option of taking a sabbatical from your company to do an executive MBA.

Ans: Try to get into a good college. You can do so if you do well in the entrance exams. XIM Bhuvaneshwar is a good college and has preference for students from Odisha, so that can be one of the options. For average MBA college check their placements and talk to the students of that college before deciding to join.

I am 23years old male living in kolkata and a bcom general graduate with 73.52% in 2022, after that i taken gap years for mba entrance preparation but not able to crack or get desired percentile in any. Currently in 2024 i am repeating again for mba entrances to secure admission in 2025. I have no work or internships experience, no awards or certifications. I got 51.17 in 12th commerce and 54.71 in 10th. I got only a digital marketing beginner certification by google digital garage earlier on 2023. Currently i taken a digital marketing course from udemy of digital marketing to hone and develop the required skills I have been searching and applying for jobs since graduating but not able to get any desired one. Which colleges should i choose or consider with desired percentile for each as per my profile in Cat, xat, nmat, snap, cmat, Mah cet respectively in 2024 - 2025? Also, mention your valuable tips and insights for me securing to Mba. Please help with your genuine guidance. THANK YOU

Ans: First try to well in the exam. You can decide on the colleges based on your performance in mocks / exam. Regarding job, there are many options available especially in startups. Do go through a placement or recruitment agency if required.
