I have worked from 1990 to 2000 and having pf deducted (at that time eps pension 1995) . But after that i have worked in 6 -7 limited companies for period 5years ,3years ,1year and in some 3to 1 years (from 2000 to 2015). But in these jobs i have withdrawn my pf as at that time no UAN concept. Now how i will get the eps pension ( at present my age is 56) Pls guide....

Can high diabetic patients eat rice?

Ans: If you have uncontrolled blood sugar levels, you need to work on managing overall glycemic load of the meal. You can eat rice but here are a few tips to incorporate:

1. Cook rice a day prior. Refrigerate it for 8-12 hours and reheat it microwave the next day. Resistant starch is formed by overnight refrigeration of rice which doesn't allow blood sugar levels to spike.
2. Add a tea spoon of ghee/coconut oil to this rice. This will further slower down absorption of glucose and help you manage post prandial blood sugar levels
3. Eat in a balanced way to lower the overall glycemic load of the meal. Which means along with one serving of rice include 1 serving protein (dal/non veg), vegetable, and salad. This will also help you manage post prandial blood sugar levels.

Along with this, please try to find out the root cause (diet & lifestyle habits) for your uncontrolled blood sugar levels and work on that to see better results.

i have 2 UAN number 1 UAN served 8 years and 2nd UAN which is active from 8 years. Accidentally i ended up withdrawing pension when i left org where 1 UAN was there after transferring my PF to 2nd company where new UAN was created . Now state is PF is transferred to 2nd company with UAN1 and pension is withdrawn. Now further i am unable to transfer my pf from 2nd company to third where as both PF accounts are under UAN2. My pf transfer always gets rejected saying i need to transfer my pension first , where as pension is withdrawn. when i met PF office i am not getting any useful help to move further

Hello Sir, I will be 60 years old in January 2025. I am still working in a company that has EPF and they want me to work for 2 more years. Can my EPF be kept active by contribution (both by employee and employer) for 2 more years?

EPF: Yes, no age limit
EPS: NO

So entire 12% of employer contribution should go to EPF.

Hello, My query is regarding health insurance. I'm 37 and currently covered by my corporate health insurance of INR 15 lakhs. Should I buy a personal health insurance even though I might not use it till the time I reach my retirement age of 60. Do you suggest increasing this cover of 15L of my corporate health insurance? Or should I buy a personal health insurance? Thanks,

Ans: Hello;

It would be better to have a personal healthcare cover apart from the corporate health insurance.

Because you are nearing 40 when typically lifestyle diseases begin, may god forbid.

Also if you change your job, during the intermittent phase, before joining new responsibility the personal healthcare plan comes in handy, if required.

In case you or anyone in your family has a pre-existing disease the waiting period of 2-4 years need to be factored in, before these can be covered.

My suggestion is that buying a personal healthcare cover would be a better option rather then enhancing sum assured in the corporate health insurance.

Do a thorough study or seek help of an insurance advisor before you sign-up.
