Unable to sleep properly at night and almost getting joint stiffness in elbows, knees and other. What needs to be done thanks for your advice.

Ans: Hello Anonymous,
Have you recently done your blood tests especially for Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12?
Low Vitamin D3 levels can give disturbed sleep as well as joint pains.
If you have done the blood tests you can share with me if anything amiss and I can guide you accordingly.

Ans: Being overweight is a sign of abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. Thus incorporate lifestyle and dietary modifications. Consume small and frequent meals. Include complex and high fiber carbohydrates like brown rice, brown bread, ragi, multi grains etc. Consume slim milk, buttermilk or yogurt every day. Eat dark green leafy vegetables and other vegetables. Salads should be consumed everyday. Consume low calorie fruits such as apple, papaya and citrus fruits on daily basis.
include lean meat such as egg white, fish and chicken without skin and organ.
Avoid white sugar, brown sugar, jaggary, icing sugar, frosting and its products such as candies, sweets, payasam, cakes, etc.

Ans: Hello Ashok,
Please once get all your blood tests done. At times when Vit D3 or Vit B12 is low sleep does get affected.
Also if there is some anxiety or emotionally something is bothering you then sleep can get affected.
I would advise you to get into a good night routine. You should take a warm water bath with some rock salt in it or you can dip your legs for 15 minutes in a bucket of water with some salt in it. You can do journaling like just pen down your thoughts in a diary. You can also do some anulom vilom or only left nostril breathing. This promotes deeper sleep. Yoga nidra can also help. Walking for 20 minutes can also help. Aromatherapy can help. All these videos you can find on YouTube.
Doing a good night routine before sleeping helps at a physical, mental and emotional level and definitely helps in deeper sleep.

Requesting you not to panic at this early stage. Let her appear for JEE session 2 and the state-level engineering entrance test. Let all the results out. You have ample time to think about the available options for engineering admission. At this stage, no need to think about management quota unless and until you want a particular branch in a particular college. Depending on her score in upcoming exams, she may get admission to reputed engineering either in Pune or Bengaluru
