Sabrina I'm slim, 5f 9 inches ,54 . I don't do any exercise. I sit for a longer duration of time. How to keep my body fit and simple exercise to be carried on daily. Note I have left leg edema? Remedies pls suggest. No sugar, bp

Ans: Hello Sabrina. 1-2 days of strength training per week and yoga for 20-30 min daily with 30 min walks 3-4 times a week would be ideal for you. It will keep your heart active and healthy, body flexible and muscles toned. With this a diet of at least 40 gm protein per day, avoid sugar and sugar products, avoid fried food and toxic substances. Sleep for 6-8 hours daily as needed. This should be good enough to keep you fit and active. Regarding the left foot swelling, it may be a variety of reasons and it would be helpful to get a proper evaluation. it can be due to varicose veins, any ankle or foot issues, BP, arthritis, uric acid anything.
