Hello ma'am, I am 63 year old man recently feeling in my right leg. After X ray MRI it was I have vertebral stenosis and spondylosis. I used to do some stretching aulom belom. Now what excercise I will do to reduce in my right leg. I am slightly over weight person.

Ans: Hello.
Thank you for reaching out. Given your diagnosis of vertebral stenosis and spondylosis, it's important to approach exercise cautiously. I strongly recommend visiting a nearby physiotherapist for a thorough assessment and personalized exercise plan. They will provide exercises tailored to your condition and ensure they are safe for your spine . Some general physiotherapy advice for relieving leg pain includes:
Gentle stretching: Focus on gentle hamstring and calf stretches to relieve tension in your legs.
Pelvic tilts: This can help strengthen the lower back and reduce pressure on the spine.
Knee-to-chest exercise: This stretch may help relieve lower back pressure.
Ankle pumps: This exercise helps improve circulation and reduce swelling in the legs.
It’s essential to avoid any movements that cause more discomfort. Since you are slightly overweight, incorporating low-impact exercises, such as walking or swimming, can be beneficial for both weight management and spinal health.
Wishing you a smooth recovery.

Hi Sir, I am a handicapped person, my age is 43 and 5 years ago I met with an accident due to which I have a plate implanted in my thighs as my femer bone was damaged badly of same polio leg & now it has the plate, fixed on 15 screws, I had gain weight after C- session, as of now I am 96kg, I need to lose my weight but my problem is I can't do jogging, walk or any physical exercise. Can you please suggest me something thru which I can lose my weight till 25-28 kg, I am doing work from home so most of the time. I be busy in office work due to which my physical activities are too less
Ans: Thank you for sharing your concerns. It’s important to use sensitive language, so instead of the term “handicapped,” you may identify as a person with a disability. Now coming to Weight loss, it is achievable even with limited mobility by focusing on proper nutrition and customized activities. Create a calorie deficit by consuming balanced meals rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats, while minimizing processed foods. Stay active with seated exercises like arm movements, resistance band training, or light weight lifting. Even you can throw basketball against wall to keep burning calories, bicycle with your arms instead of your legs etc .Practice mindful eating with portion control, slow chewing, and adequate hydration. Take short breaks from work to stretch, and consult a physiotherapist for personalized advice. Track your progress through weight or measurements and celebrate small victories to stay motivated. If your disability is significant, consider applying for a disability certificate for additional support. I wish you good luck...

Career
I'm a bsc botany graduate and now got admission and doing msc. I'm in first year and just gave my 1st semester exam but somehow now i feel i can't do botany at all its not just in my interest. I can't continue further with it as i dont think there's much scope too. I have interest in fields like geography or law related subjects. I'll be attempting for upsc too this year and also had a second thought to go for Law. Should i drop the msc? ....I've cried a lot thinking about that and its affecting my mental health too.
Ans: Hello dear.
First I would like to suggest that, in any way, you first complete your M.Sc. (Botnay) either with interest or without interest. Who told you that there is less scope in Botany? There are a lot of career options after M.Sc. (Botany). It is good that you are interested in geography and are attempting UPSC this year. Dear, along with your M.Sc. you can easily appear for UPSC and do the study of Geography, after completing your M.Sc. you can take the admission to Law course. Many people do the law even after their retirement or in due course of their service. There is no need to cry about the things which happened to you.
Suggestions: (1) Completer M.Sc. (Botany) by any means (2) Space-time to read Geography and UPSC Syllabus (3) Develop your overall personality and try to engage in some extracurricular activities of your interest.
Best of luck for your upcoming bright future.
