Hi doc I'm 18years I took emergency contraceptive four days before my period and the four days has reach and going to 8 days I haven't seen my period yet

Ans: Hello! If you have taken emergency contraception
4 days prior to periods,
There are high chances your periods can get delayed.
The morning-after pill, also known as the I-pill, can delay your period by up to one week. However, in rare cases, your period may be delayed for several weeks. If your period is more than a week late, or if it is lighter than usual, you should take a pregnancy test and speak to a doctor.
The I-pill is an emergency contraceptive tablet that contains a synthetic hormone that mimics progesterone. It's not intended to be used as a regular method of birth control.
