Ans: Your blood sugar levels are out of range. You can review your basal and bolus insulin dosage. If uncontrolled, long term high blood sugar levels can lead to complications thereby impacting future health. Reduce your sugar cravings by having a protein rich diet. Include high fiber foods in every meal to increase satiety. Include complex carbohydrates whole wheat, quinoa, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, beans, and dals. Avoid simple carbohydrates, which are processed, such as sugar, pasta, white bread, flour, and cookies, pastries, and namkeens. Have low fat and healthy oils like olive or mustard oil. Have low glycemic index foods. Focus on portion size. Adopt a daily exercise regimen.
