I am 59 years male. Have FCPD - Fibro Calculus Pancreo Diabetic - Diagnosed some 30 years back and taking insulin and strictly following diet 90 minutes of walking daily for 7 days/week, 7 hours quality sleep and maintaining a standard weight of 57 kg. since 25 years. My latest HbA1c is: 7.1 % checking every 90 days. FBBS: 93 mg and PPBS: 156 mg. Actrapid 10 IU/day (6 U - 4 U- 0 Units), Pankreoflat and glibenclimide 5 mg twice a day. All other functions and parameters are within Normal limits including ECG. My question is: What is the complication that I am likely to develop in course of time ? What precautions do I have to take to prevent them? THanks in advacne sir.

I am 54 years M ,having Diabetes and High BP (HTN) since the past 13 years. At times it has been in poor control also like in May 2021 the HbA1c was 10.10 which gradually went down to 7.70 and then remained constant between 7.90 and 8.10 with the medications and 'not so strict' diet regime. Plus the body weight was also increasing and i gained around 10 kgs (101.2 Kgs) in a span of around 06 months. Recently in March 2024, the test reports indicated it as 8.70 causing me some concern and in April 2024 the reports showed a value of 9.20, which made me think about the reliablity of Lab report as well as made me change the doctor. My medicines were changed from Glimepiride (2 mg),Metformin (500 mg) Pioglitazone (15 mg) and METFORMIN-500MG + VILDAGLIPTIN-50MG twice daily ( taking for about 20 months) to GLIMEPIRIDE-2MG + METFORMIN-500MG + VOGLIBOSE-0.2MG and Dapagliflozin 5 mg+Metformin 500 mg twice daily recently in Mid April 2024. I was asked by the doctor to report after a month with Fasting and PP readings. However after few days,I started realising that my blood sugar was approaching higher and then I experienced needle like sensations in feet and hands plus sticky urine with a heavy head and hot face. I again went for a checkup three days back and the randomn sugar was 291 mg/dl. The medications have again been changed to Dapagliflozin (10mg) + Metformin (500mg) + Sitagliptin (100mg) + Saroglitazar (4mg) in the morning and METFORMIN-500MG + VILDAGLIPTIN-50MG since yesterday (08.05.2024) and I have been asked to take daily readings and report after 10 days. All this has lead to a panicky feeling in me, resulting in increased HTN. I am worried that how this hit and trial or permutations and combinations will help me in achieving a perfect set of medicines to lower my blood sugar to normal levels. Kindly advice. I shall be highly obliged.

So start with your dietary discipline. Strict no to Sugars and refined carbohydrates.
Have less portion of Carbohydrate in a complex form
Timely meals with early dinner before 7 pm

Help me!!! 1.I'm starting new "work" on my own(challenging for me) but my mind says quit it, be quite & do nothing. I myself don't know that wether the result of work will be +ive or uncompleted like alws. 2. My mind has become like order seeker type, when someone orders me, I do those things with dedicated(but sad from inside) manner. But when myself will try something different(which i fear, but necessary) then. "I QUITS IT" & sometimes I don't even start. 3. I'm like stuck no clue what/whom I want to do in life, I'm in cllg(1 yr) doing (CSE) ,. 4. I want to do/try (sports,talking girls,study,stocks,coding..) many things, but myself, my thoughts(overthinker), R like just be in the place where u are[confused,po*n,think about past/future(being billio..re,olympics..), girl (that u liked & never talked), abusive/beating self,.. sometimes feels like end life, but don't hv courage for that also.. 5. I tried self help books, spirituality, god, self affirmation, writing... & thay affected me(sometimes) but for only some time, then again that devil me comes up &these things never get completed. As no one in my family knows about all these, so that's Y ,I hv to fight/loose/try again, the battles with myself.
Ans: Dear Harsh,
If in the past you have had the urge to QUIT, how is this time going to be different? This is not to discourage you from taking up 'new work' but pointing out that there is some amount of work that you need to put to clear the mind out of blockages.
-What is limiting you?
- What is the reason for putting off things?
- What comes first to the mind when you start something new?
Also, focus on one thing at a time; study and go deep into it...what's this thing with work? I don't understand. When the mind is unsettled, take one thing/activity, pursue it and finish it. It could simply be studying for Year 1 of your college...just only do that...once your mind is trained in completing an activity, you can add another one the next year along with studying and then pursue both...it could be some sport and studying...then the next year, you could add a third activity. This is called 'training the mind in discipline'. Discipline will make sure that you start and finish things...So, go slow and do one thing at a time.
