Sir, I am working in Gulf, my daughter will finish 12th grade with science, she will appear for NEET test here in Gulf. Because she completed 12th from outside India, she is by default in NRI quota category whatever marks she gets or she'll be eligible for Management quota. We are from Telangana state. Appreciate your answer.

Ans: Hello dear.
In MBBS seats, the quota is reserved for NRI students. Your daughter will be eligible for admission, if she cracks the exam with a high score, as there is tough competition. It is highly recommended that you opt for the seat if she gets the admission through NRI quota because, for the management quota, you have to pay a high donation which is not possible for most of the parents, If your financial situation permits you, then you can opt for it. But if your daughter scores less, she can opt for MBBS from any foreign country at a low cost compared to the management quota in India. It is good that you are thinking on alternatives at this juncture. But ask your daughter to study hard and score as high as possible. With the solid score in hand, all the problems will be eliminated and student and parent becomes worry free!

Sir MBBS seat in NRI category is 1.5cr and BDS seat in NRI is around 40-50lakhs, we can't afford MBBS seat, we are planning for BDS seat. But how much rank should my daughter get for BDS seat in Telangana and which are the good colleges. Total how many BDS seats for NRI category particularly in Hyderabad, Telangana. Please provide this information it will be very helpful to us. Thanks
Ans: Welcome back.
Here is the point-wise reply to your query:
(1) A rank within the range of 200,000–300,000 is sufficient if everything goes smoothly. The exact rank cutoff can vary each year depending on the number of applicants, seat availability, and competition
(2) Some Colleges in Telangana are- Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad, Panineeya Institute of Dental Sciences, Hyderabad, Sri Sai College of Dental Surgery, and other regional institutions
(3) The total number of seats varies by institution, with a specific portion allocated for NRI and management quotas. For details pl visit the website: knruhs.telangana.gov.in
(4) Fees range from Rs 15-23 lakhs per year in some colleges. You have to visit the websites of all the institutions at the time of admission, as the criteria of fees change year by year.

Sir For BDS NRI seat in Telangana, how much is the fees. I have enquired with some friends they are telling 35-40 lakhs for whole course. Is it correct. Do we need to pay every year fees or half fees first time and remaining in parts. We need this details please provide. Thanks for your valuable answers.
Ans: Welcome back.
Truly speaking, the fees vary every year and differ institution-wise. It would be better to consult the management of the respective institution for the exact fees. There is always seat manipulation in NRI and management quota which we can't understand or predict by sitting outside. The structure of fee payment also depends upon the conditions of management. Some may agree with you or some may not. Here, I would like to suggest one thing- Don't consult any counselor related to fee structure and other financial dealings. Without any hesitation, directly contact the management of the respective college for the exact, correct, and genuine information.
Best of luck to your daughter for a bright future.

NEET, Medical, Pharmacy Careers - Answered on May 15, 2025

Career
My daughter was born in Andhra Pradesh in 2007 and studied in Hyderabad up to 2nd class. She studied from 3rd class to 6th class in the US and moved back to India and continued from 7th to 10th in Hyderabad again. She passed out of 10th in March 2022. After finishing her 10th, she moved back to the US in September 2022 and studied 10th again due to age constraints in the US before moving back to India in 2023. She finished her 11th and 12th class in Hyderabad and attempted NEET 2025. She has continuous education certificates in Hyderabad from 7th to 12th class but has a year gap between her 10th and 11th class. My questions are does she qualify as a local for the Telangana state for the 85% state quota. As she studied 10th class in the US again but that certification isn't of use anywhere, what is the best option for her to considered under the state quota. Does she require any gap certificate or any official authorization between her 10th and 11th and if so what is the best procedure to get it?
Ans: BE TRANSPARENT AND GUNUINE. DONT TRY TO TAKE SHORTCUTS TO OBTAIN A DOMICILLE CERTIFICATE. THIS CONCERNS YOUR YOUR DAUGHTER'S FUTURE.

Regarding your query about the domicile certificate, she needs to prove that she has been residing in that particular location for the last seven years. However, in your case, she has only been present for six years, as she went to the U.S. in between. If this was on a tourist visa, that might be acceptable, but if you obtained a green card or another type of visa during that time, you should have supporting evidence.

Based on this information, it appears that you may not be eligible for the domicile certificate. It might be better for her to seek admission through the NRI quota. However, never resort to shortcuts. Remember, in today's India, traceability is very easy.
