My son, who is in 11th now, wishes to pursue computer science after 12th but is not sure if he wants to do engineering. What courses can he opt for that will ensure good placement? Would it be possible for him to pursue computer science engineering by lateral entry? If so, what would be the eligibilty requirements?

Ans: If your son is interested in pursuing computer science but is uncertain about doing engineering, there are several alternative courses he can consider that also offer good placement opportunities.
1. B.Sc. in Computer Science/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence
2.BCA
If your son decides later that he wants to pursue engineering, lateral entry into a B.Tech program is possible. After doing Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. in Computer Science he can apply for lateral entry into the second year of a B.Tech program. Lateral entry often requires passing a state-level or university-level entrance exam (like LEET, JELET, or others).
