I am thinking of trying cfa with bcom and if I am unable to clear cfa than will take MCA as master is this correct plan if yes what are the skills I should aim for

Ans: Combining CFA with B.Com enhances finance expertise (investment analysis, portfolio management) and global employability, supported by a 90%+ employer preference for CFA Charterholders in executive roles. If transitioning to MCA, focus on programming (Python/Java), database management (SQL), web development (HTML/CSS), and data analytics (Tableau) to align with MCA’s 85–95% placement rates at institutions like NIT Trichy or VIT Vellore. Overlap skills in quantitative analysis and financial modeling (CFA Level I/II) with MCA’s AI/ML or cybersecurity electives to bridge finance-tech roles (e.g., fintech analyst).

Recommendation: Pursue CFA while building coding fundamentals via online platforms (Coursera, edX). If shifting to MCA, prioritize full-stack development and cloud computing certifications (AWS/Azure) to access 95% placement rates in IT roles. For backups, consider PG diplomas in data science or CFA Level I + MCA hybrid pathways to maintain career flexibility across finance and tech sectors. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!
