Hello Sir, I wanted to know what should be my current salary as per the Indian market. I am 40 years old with B.Tech in Electronics and GATE qualified M.Tech. in Microelectronics. Post qualification, I have 11 years of work experience in Electronics domain. Presently I work in a Dutch MNC at Noida. I also have a PGDM in Operations Management from IGNOU. My present package is 16.5 lakhs (all inclusive). Thanks.

Salary is a function of skills you have and value you are able to deliver to an organisation Also every organisation has its own ask of value they seek.

Nonetheless you can do online search to know your potential or approach placement consultants, they will tell you the market rate.

Hi Abhishek, I have a package of almost 2.1 CR (equivalent in USD) in SF. I am in the data field and have almost 20 years of experience plus a master's degree. I am negotiating with a company in India , but want to know what salary I should quote to begin the negotiation. This is in Bombay/Pune.

You can give them the details of your current salary and let them make an offer. HR would make an offer after factoring in the living cost and taking into account the Purchasing power parity. Meanwhile you can also do research on the cost of living and the salary you would need in INR to maintain the same or better lifestyle. Directly converting USD to INR for salary would expecting the same would not be a great idea. Take into consideration the living expenses and purchasing power aswell.

Hi, I am 28 years old, about to get engaged in couple of months. It's an arranged marriage. Before that I met with the girl. At our first meeting, she was little shy and hesitant at first but still we were able to have a good conversation. However after that, as usual parents wanted an answer and without beating around the bush, we agreed. Now we talk sometimes but mostly chat regularly but it always feels like I am the one who is putting more efforts like starting the conversation, giving gifts, cracking jokes.. sometimes it feels like an interview round like me just asking questions and she is just answering. Our chat does not last more than 5min. I just can't understand why is this happening. I am pretty confident talking to people but I can't find out why this is so awkward. Am I overthinking or is this normal?

Ans: Dear Anonymous,
You put too much effort only when you expect a certain outcome. Why don't you just enjoy getting to know her gradually rather than thinking what you have to gift her? Is it not possible to take it slow and see what comes out of it. Maybe she is rather shy and likes to take things slow?
And what's the point timing things like chats? It will always seem like it's less or not enough. What should be enough is that you and she like one another and start this journey together by accepting one another and not focus on what's not happening. If you are still in doubt, maybe what might help is doing things that she likes but together. You are putting effort in a manner that you know BUT is that the manner that she understands and responds to?

I'm 35 years old, I was employed as a Fire and safety officer in the Civil Defense, Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain. I completed both police training and fire fighter training and served under the force from 10 years after which I left the service. Is there any way for me to join the Indian army or police force using my previous service experience?

Don't think at 35 there are any full time career opportunities in regular Army/Police.
Territorial Army (TA) could be an option for part time service in Army that does offer position/perks as per regular cadre officers.

The first thing you can do is to register yourself with local AWPO office. Employers do approach them regularly for skilled veterans. Yon can also liaise with their staff (AWPO) with regard to your specific job search.

Similar investment of ipo first ipo got profit of one lacs they have again reinvested the same of 2+1 lacs profit in ipo of 10lacs promise to get 15 lacs but at the time of opening it has reduced to 9.50 lacs agin they invest 3 lacs full allotment one ipo and balance they have part invested 7 lacs of alloted ipo around 22 lacs and requesting me to pay 14 lacs which I said no funds now they are arranging topup of 14 lacs without interest but ipo listing rate 0.000325 asking me to give the confirmation which they will pay my account and in turn i will balance ipo of ken which is listing on 12/02/2025;if I say no it will have big consequences for not taking listed share in my name? What to do? My 9 lacs are blocked?

Same ipo question QUANTAIS is the whatsup group 2 lacs first ipo invested got profit of of 1 lacs again they have lured and investment around 10 lacs ( 3 + 7 lacs) in second ipo and lost money by 50000 but they have again blocked the fund for two ipos one full 4 lacs and balance 7 lacs in ken ipo and insisting to pay 14 lacs you will get 56 lacs which I have refused that don't have funds today they are arranging topup of without interest they will fund my bank and I have forward same to them and they will be charging 0.000325 on ipo listed amount if I don't agree i have to face consequences but they are assuring no loss will be there?

Hi Greetings ! I'm salaried person my question is I have done option trading and when I check my saving account statement for financial year total credit and debit transaction is 14lakhs , all transactions are related to securities only like withdrawal of some amount and adding some amount,i didnt gained anything from trading lost 4lakhs instead , do I need to pay income tax? Please suggest

Ans: as you have made overall loss no need to pay any Capital Gain Tax, but you need to declare this while filling your income tax returns.
