My son has got 98.26 percentile in jee mains 2025. His CRL rank is approx. 28000 and category rank (EWS) is approx. 3750. Please tell which iiit or gfti is best for him as he wants to take Computer Science or ECE.

Ans: With a 98.26 percentile and an EWS rank around 3,750, your son has a strong chance for admission in reputed IIITs like IIIT Delhi, IIIT Hyderabad (ECE/CSE), and other IIITs such as Lucknow, Pune, and Jabalpur for CSE or ECE branches. IIIT Hyderabad and IIIT Delhi are top choices for CSE, but competition is intense. For ECE, IIIT Kancheepuram and others are good options within his rank range. Additionally, good GFTIs can provide quality education with slightly relaxed cutoffs. He should participate actively in JoSAA counselling, prioritize IIIT Delhi and Hyderabad for CSE/ECE, and keep other IIITs and GFTIs as strong alternatives. This balanced approach maximizes chances for a quality institute in his preferred branches.

Recommendation: Aim for IIIT Delhi and IIIT Hyderabad for CSE/ECE as top choices, while keeping IIIT Lucknow, Pune, Jabalpur, and Kancheepuram as solid options. Also consider reputable GFTIs to ensure a good seat in Computer Science or Electronics branches. Participate actively in counselling and prepare backup preferences accordingly. All the best for your son's admission and a bright future!
