I got 68040 in jeemains under ews shall I get iiits under csab cs or ece My crl rank 500000

Ans: Shreya, With an EWS rank of 68,040 and a CRL rank of 5,00,000 in JEE Main, obtaining a seat in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering at any of the IIITs through CSAB is extremely unlikely. Recent official cutoff data consistently shows closing EWS ranks for IIIT CS and ECE branches under 15,000, with even the newer IIITs rarely considering ranks beyond 40,000–50,000 for these popular courses. High-demand branches such as CS and ECE in IIITs remain highly competitive, reflecting strong placement percentages (in some cases above 90% for CS and 80-90% for ECE) and excellent campus infrastructure, faculty credentials, and tech-driven curricula that are nationally and internationally recognized. These institutions are known for robust industry connections, but access through CSAB special rounds at your current rank is not supported by published official trends for EWS admissions to CS/ECE.

Recommendation: It is advisable to actively explore private universities or state engineering colleges with more accessible cutoffs for your rank. Participating in state-level counseling and considering allied branches or core engineering domains at reputable institutes will help optimize your admission prospects and pave the way for a solid engineering education if top IIIT branches remain out of reach. All the BEST for Your Prosperous Future!
