Dear experts, One of my cousin want to be a Astranaut in NASA, current he is studying in school and quite brilliant in studies. Can u suggest the process to be adopted.

Ans: That is a niche field that your cousin has chosen! To become an astronaut, you need to be the best of the best! I wonder if NASA is now a days taking in people of foreign origin into such classified programs. You can go on to the ISRO website too. As far as my knowledge goes, Astronauts are generally chosen from pilots or aerospace or aeronautical background. It is a difficult path that he has chosen and he needs to put in lots of efforts and studies for the same. All the best to him!

My son is studying in class 10. He wants be an astronaut. Please guide how to prepare for it. Is there any coaching available.

Ans: For your son to look at being an astronaut, he would need to be strong on his academic and phsyical from the beginning of his journey. He should look at taking up STEM courses as his core education courses and eventually join reputed space programs like ISRO in India, NASA in the US. Unfortunately, there is no coaching available currently for learning how to become an astronaut

Hi Sir My son is in 8th standard and since younger age very knowledgeable and interested about space and astronomy. How to place him in the best organisations viz NASA., ISRO so he can continue what he loves and make a career at early age?

Ans: Hi Kapil.
Glad to hear about your son's interest in space and astronomy at an early age.
1) Provide him with good foundation books published by various publishers like MTG, Dinesh, Matrushri (Hyderabad) etc.
2) Ask him to appear for all types of olympiad examinations conducted at the school level.
3) Ask him to appear for Dr Homi Bhabha's 9th/10th standard examination.
4) Try to complete CBSE + ICSE + State board syllabus at each standard i.e. 8th, 9th and 10th
5) Visit the NASA and ISRO websites to learn more details, i.e., the process of joining them.
At last, keep a close eye on his performance at each state/examination. Always take proper and honest feedback from his teachers. Try to have his meeting with rankers.
In summer vacation, try to visit places like Nehru Planetarium (Mumbai), and Jantar-Mantar's located at Jaipur, Delhi, Varanasi, Ujjain, and Mathura which will open his eyes more. These places are well known from Astronomy point of view.

Hello sir this is Nishat , I passed my 12th in the year 2023 with a good percentage but however I couldn’t see it for chemistry exam. So obviously I failed in that subject so I decided to again reappear for that exam and in 2024 I gave betterment exam from my state board in the subject biology and chemistry. However I scored far better in biology than last time but (Chemistry) I don’t know maybe it’s it’s because of the issues that we have with our board. I couldn’t score good marks so even I had decided to give (Chemistry) separately and so in 2024. I again set for (Chemistry) exam under nios I and I scored 80 so now the thing is that I’ll be having two mark sheet so while applying in need I cannot possibly select the code 2 because although I already have the state board certificate but the NIOS certificate is not yet out and it will be out by end of the March sir can I possibly select the code one that is appearing or will it create problems while counselling or is there any other option please help me out sir , I’m very desperate like I have prepared for neey for the last two years and I don’t want to put my hard work into vain. Please Sir help me out

Please select code 1 without any fear. Focus more on your study. But considering your fear and anxiety with the chemistry subject, it is recommended that you choose other options than NEET. This time you appear without any fear.
