Hi Madam My daughter is in class IV in KV central school in Delhi. I wish to understand, if KV being bilingual in medium of instruction and when compared with other Pvt school passed out at time of school completion, is there likely hood of her being lagging behind in terms of personality and confidence in terms of language fluency and overall personality when compete for jobs in good corporates and for her overall career growth due to less exposure. Further, what more can I do for her confidence building now and in near future. Further, do you feel that school change or any other solution necessary for same. Pls help.

Ans: Hi!!

I feel that KVs have the best curriculum in terms of overall development of a child. But I really don't know how good this school is, you and your daughter are the best judge for this.
You can take a call whether to put her in a private school based on your goals in life and your budget.
Invest in a school which is invested in your child. School going kids will surely be influenced by the kind of environment they grow and the kind of company they keep. I believe that the confidence in young children comes from their parents.
You be confident about your decisions, she'll grow up being a confident girl. If you are under confident somewhere then see what you can do to raise your confidence, she'll learn to do it too.
You can get a coach to coach her on confidence building and grooming once she is a little older. For now be a confident parent and coach her, she is watching you. You feel you must change the school , then change it...make informed choices, and see how your daughter will bloom where ever she is!!

Hello Aruna Madam, My daughter 12 years old she is studying in 7th stanard, she doesnt focus on her study, also her hand writing is poor, i try to motivae her daily, but she doesnt care, sometime i think i leave her on his own way, she goes to school irregularly also she said, i am not co-up with school, she is not talk properly with her same age girls/boys, she is comfortable with younger children's. she is interested in drawings, is there any school for drawings

Ans: If the child is telling you about not being able to cope up with school, things you can check can be social skills, academic skills and if there is some kind of lack in comprehension of language. There can be various reasons for this and hence you can check the skill set she has currently.

My daughter is 13 years old. She is not serious about her studies , especially in Maths. I am worried about her future. Please write her career options, if she doesn't score good marks in 10th or 12th. She can speak english and is learning German in school.

Ans: Vikas Sir,

Generally speaking, most of the parents blame the children for their lack of interest in studies instead of thinking about why they are not sincere in their studies.

If a child is not serious about studies, generally following might be the possibilities/reasons:

1) Lack of communication / interaction/respect by parents with children.
2) (Unfavorable) Atmosphere at home (various reasons) & also at School.
3) Both parents are working and get less or no time to help or monitor children's studies.
4) Addiction to electronic gadgets.
5) Peer influence/peer pressure.
6) Lack of physical activities.

Vikas Sir, Please go through the above reasons (without bias) and find out solutions from now for the problems which are applicable to your daughter. Gradually she will definitely improve.

If possible, please arrange for a FEMALE home tutor for her Maths Subject for alternate days.

Coming to Career Options, as she is in 8th only, it is not possible now to provide her career options as her interest / academic performance will change by the time she reaches 10th standard.

Sir , i am 57yrs old. within 1 yr i am retired. So pls guide me , how i invest 30 laks in swp system and how many return from here . Also request you suggest the mf name where i invest.

Ans: You can invest 30 Lac as lumpsum in conservative hybrid(debt oriented) fund. Based on 5 year return yardstick Kotak hybrid debt fund and SBI Conservative hybrid fund are the 2 recommendations.

It will be better if you stay invested in this fund for 5 year and let the corpus grow. After 5 years you can expect a corpus of around 50 Lacs(10%+ return assumed)

Then you can start your SWP at the rate of say 5% per year which will translate into monthly payout of around 21K.

However if you need immediate pension then you can invest in PO monthly income scheme(7.4% rate;5yr tenure) upto 9 L in your name and another 9 L in the name of your spouse or other family member. It is a safe scheme since backed by GOI. For the balance 12 L you can do 3 FDs of 4 L each in reputed banks.

My date of exit is wrongly put in epf account. I will try to give joint declaration form, but my compay liquidator not give sign. My company pay(epf payment) only 2013. But i am regin in 2015. I am 59 year old. Give solutio n.

Ans: If your employer has not made the statutory EPF contributions then you can file a legal case.

For wrong DOE, joint declaration form is the right way, if the employer is not co-operating then you can talk to EPF officials about the same with documentary evidence. They may consider it, else you can file online grievance through EPFO grievance management system.

Hello Mam, I'm 49 years male, having Triglycerides -242, LDL Cholestrol - 96 , VLDL Cholestrol - 49, HDL Cholestrol - 43. Apart from that I have Thyroid T3 - 2.97, T4 - 0.93 and TSH - 4.83. I have been doing morning brisk walk for about 40 minutes and doing pranayam (majorly kapal bhati, kumbhak, anulom vilom, bhramri (8-10 minutes) for 45 min daily for the past 2 months without break. My question to you is , first- by doing brisk morning walk and pranayam daily will my cholestrol and thyroid level will be within the range. Secondly I get iritiated and lose my temper quite often, do the above said exercise will help me in controlling my anger / irritiability and quitting use of tobacco. Please help me.

Ans: You may invest in Post Office monthly income scheme. 5 year tenure. Monthly interest payment. Current rate is 7.4%. If singly held maximum investment limit is 9 Lac and for joint holding it is 15 Lac. It is GOI scheme offered through Posts hence comes with sovereign guarantee.

Most Recruiters/Companies recognize one of the best & most affordable online certification programs offered by NPTEL. Suggest your son to go through the site to get an idea. Their video lectures are free. You will have to pay only the Exam Fee which will be conducted offline. He can join those certification courses, recommended by his College Faculties. There are other Online Certification Platforms but comparatively, it will be costlier. Advise him to have a Professional LinkedIn Profile and keep updating it every 3 months. Also to put job alerts in LinkedIn, related to his domain, to know the current/changing job market trends. He can start doing online certifications after his 1st semester. No hurry Sir now. sir, i am in class 12th (pcb) rn and i am preparing for NEET but i don't have that much interest in it. I have interest in forensic science and i want to pursue it. i am ready to give any exam that i can for good college. I also want a good job with good money after everything (college...etc). I am a decent student, more than average i can say. But we have some financial problem for college only (personal family matter) so i am rely on scholarship. please guide me what should i do and how?........Thank you very much

Ans: You should prepare and appear for CUET for getting admission into UG Forensic Science with any one of the State / Central Universities providing this course. You should be aware that economically weak girls are eligible for scholarships provided by Govt. which you can apply for, after getting confirmed admission into any UG program (but should have been approved by AICTE).
