My son has just completed his B.Tech (IT) from MAIT, Delhi. Can you please elaborate his chance in getting job in his field. Further, can u suggest further studies for him, if yes, what is the most suitable for him ?

Ans: Please expand on the name MAIT, Delhi, marks secured by your son in BTech IT and what are his interest areas. His college Placement Department would be the best placed to advice on the names and nature of companies visiting for placement this year and in the past to determine job prospects. He can go in for higher studies only if he has interest in a particular area and not because he cannot get a job after BTech. All the best.

MAIT- Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technical Education, Rohini, Delhi/ Marks- 8.9 CGPA/ As far as interest is concerned, he is confused at present. That is why we need advice.
Ans: He has a good score and you should encourage him to start work, gain experience and then decide on what kind of work or further studies he would like to pursue. I understand that the IT companies are a bit slow hiring freshers, but this situation is only a temporary phase and things would start looking up. He should look at picking up additional IT skills from NPTEL, Coursera and stay in touch with his subject. And simultaneously look for job openings on different company websites.
