सर, मेरे बेटे ने अपनी 12वीं की पढ़ाई पूरी कर ली है और हमने pes rr, ece ब्रांच में सीट बुक कर ली है। उसे सिविल से संबंधित क्षेत्र में रुचि है और उसने 8वीं, 9वीं कक्षा से ही उस क्षेत्र के बारे में अधिक जानने के लिए खुद से कुछ काम किए हैं और सड़कों, बुनियादी ढांचे आदि के बारे में बात करता है। वह जानता है और अपने अंतर्ज्ञान से करता है कि घर में जब कोई चीज टूट जाती है तो उसे कैसे ठीक किया जाए। उसने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स में बहुत छोटे इंटरफेसिंग प्रोजेक्ट भी किए हैं। हमें नहीं पता कि कौन सी ब्रांच चुननी है? उसने JEE एडवांस के माध्यम से IITM से BS में भी दाखिला लिया है। उसने ECE जारी रखने की स्थिति में प्रोग्रामिंग में एक मजबूत आधार पाने के लिए इसे चुना। उसे यह भी पसंद है। कृपया सलाह दें कि उसे इंजीनियरिंग में कौन सी ब्रांच चुननी चाहिए, हालाँकि वह CS करियर नहीं बनाना चाहता। धन्यवाद

Ans: नमस्ते। हमेशा अपने बच्चों के हितों का सम्मान करें। जैसा कि आपने कहा और उसके बारे में विस्तार से बताया, आपको सिविल इंजीनियरिंग का विकल्प चुनना चाहिए जहाँ वह CS/ECE से बेहतर प्रदर्शन करेगा। लेकिन आपने PES में यह सीट ब्लॉक कर दी है। प्रथम वर्ष के स्कोर और संबंधित शाखा में सीटों की उपलब्धता के आधार पर दूसरे वर्ष में शाखा परिवर्तन का विकल्प उपलब्ध है। यदि संस्थान अपनी शर्तों के अनुसार अधिकतम फीस वापस करने के लिए तैयार है, तो पहले किसी अच्छे कॉलेज में सिविल सीट चुनें और फिर PES छोड़ दें। जबरन CS/EEE करना बिल्कुल भी अनुशंसित नहीं है। अन्यथा बीएस का इंतज़ार करें क्योंकि उसने JEE एडवांस के ज़रिए आईआईटीएम में दाखिला लिया है।

Ans: अगर आपके बेटे को अपने मौजूदा डिप्लोमा से खुशी मिलती है और वह इलेक्ट्रिकल डोमेन में ही रहना चाहता है, तो इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग या इलेक्ट्रिकल और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स इंजीनियरिंग (EEE) अच्छे विकल्प हैं। हालाँकि, अगर वह ऑटोमेशन, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, सॉफ्टवेयर या अक्षय ऊर्जा में अधिक अवसरों के साथ संबंधित क्षेत्रों की खोज करने के लिए तैयार है, तो वह ECE, मेक्ट्रोनिक्स, इंस्ट्रूमेंटेशन, ऑटोमेशन या CSE पर भी विचार कर सकता है।

Ans: Tax is calculated as per slab rate prescribed under both regimes and once tax calculation is done, there is a concept of rebate which is deducted from tax liability.

Accordingly, if taxpayers opt for a new tax regime, tax on 12 lacs of income will be 60000 and rebate will be 60000. Thus, tax liability will be Zero.

Please note that rebate is not available on special rate income like short term capital gain on equity shares which is taxable at 20%, long term capital gain on equity shares is taxable at 12.5%.

We are a Private Limited Company with an employee strength of 60, and we strictly follow all PF rules. As per the applicable salary criteria, we contribute to the Provident Fund wherever required. Recently, we discovered that an employee who joined our company two years ago has an existing UAN linked to their Aadhaar. However, at the time of joining, the employee declared in Form 11 that they did not have a PF account. Based on this declaration, we did not contribute to their PF account. Now, the employee states that they were unaware of their PF account, and the UAN linked to their Aadhaar is currently inactive. Furthermore, they do not wish to activate their PF account. Given this situation, should we present Form 11 as valid proof for non-contribution, or are there any corrective actions required to comply with PF regulations? Kindly guide us on the appropriate steps to take in this matter.

Ans: Hello;

If the organisation is such that EPFO laws are applicable and if employee 's salary is as per the threshold given by EPFO (15 K basic +DA) then you don't have an option to avoid EPF.

The EPFO commissioner may issue your organisation a show cause notice as to why the form-11 submitted by the employee was not scrutinized thoroughly when it was submitted.

You may furnish joint declaration in the prescribed format to correct the mistake in form 11 and deposit all employer employee contributions till date with penalty as decided by the EPF Commissioner.

Actually such willful suppression of facts by the employee, which bring the employer into legal issues, deserves termination.

Seek advice from a lawyer specializing in labour and EPF laws, if required.

Ans: Usually there is no direct rejection because of drop. If you qualify you will be called for interview, where they may ask you to justify your drop. Then your selection will partly depend on your answer.

Hi Sir, I had worked in a Pharma company since 1990 till 2004 with all the PF and Pension fund contributions paid. However I subsequently changed the organisation and a new PF no was allocated alongwith UAN No which I left in the year 2013. I do have a Scheme Certificate from the previous company but no UAN No (as the UAN nos came subsequently) and the older PF account has an erroneous DOB for which Y am persuing the previous employer. Now I wish to club the two PF accounts together. How to go about. Please guide and enlighten. Thanks and Regards Kanwaljit Singh

Ans: Hello;

You first need to correct your DOB in previous pf account by submitting a joint declaration(in the prescribed format) with your previous employer to the assigned EPFO office.

After clearing this you need to activate your UAN online on EPFO portal.

Once your UAN is activated you can merge all your previous pf accounts under the same UAN online through the EPFO member portal.
