Sir, my son got 92% in 12 cbse this year. And 96.2%ile in jee mains(crl rank=56464,ews rank=7944). He cracked VIT also (rank=18438).He is interested in cs branch. He is 17 year old(7-11-2007). Should he drop 1 year for IIT or take admission in VIT. Kindly guide. He is in confusion.

Ans: Hello Ramesh
Regrettably, we are unable to offer forecasts about the admission and counseling processes for VIT and comparable institutions. Please reach out to the administration of VIT as well as the counseling services. There is no requirement to take a gap year for universities such as VIT. However, if you are quite certain regarding your readiness and possess patience concerning From the perspective of IIT, you might consider the option to take a drop in your studies. A number of students complete this exercise, and a few of them have achieved success as well. You could be one of them. However, consider carefully multiple times before making a choice to take a break.
Best of luck to you.
