Ex-boyfriend took my money and won't return it. How do I move forward?

My ex boyfriend and I are in a relationship for almost a year and he took money from me on that time and obviously he manipulated me through his words because I know I love him and I trust him so I give money to him and I help him financially he told me that he return my money back to me when the right time comes but he never did that and now after 1 year when I message him to return my money back to me he told me that I don't remember what money you give me and just abuse me in so many ways and told me that he don't remember either he is not taking that money from me. And now can you please tell me how can I deal with this because I know he will never return the money I give to him.
