Relationship

Hi, I am Ajay R from Chennai. 40 yo male married for 11 yrs with no child, currently trying to get divorced from my spouse but she is not willing to. we tried multiple ivfs but all resulted in failures. the relationship is not at a happy path. I have come up from very humble background and future seems all grey. I have old parents to take care of but other than that i am all alone. i do have my own savings of 3cr. What do you suggest, what path should i take.

Ans: Dear Ajay,
Kindly set up an appointment for a Couples Therapy. Lack of success with pregnancy, drills many holes within a marriage and when not handled well can drain the relationship. Give the therapy a chance before suggesting divorce.

Hi, I am 43 years old divorce male without any kid. After 5 years long court case , I was divorced 1 year ago. I have no desire to go again in any relationship as I have lost faith in relationship after my past experience and also I am in working in High pressure Banking Sector and almost fade up with work pressure. I am confused what should I do in future. Any suggestion will be helpful.

Ans: Dear Anonymous,
It is unfortunate that you had to go through what you have.
It is also understandable why you would feel unsteady and unwilling to trust the process again...
But, let it not rob you of opportunities of exploring a new connection and this will be possible only if you allow yourself to trust...
Because if you don't, you will end up sinking into work to distract yourself. This is unhealthy as it will lead to loneliness and despair. You surely wouldn't want that, would you?
Allow yourself to Let Go...It takes a lot to do that but once you do, it will open your eyes to numerous possibilities. Having said that, do this when you ready...it maybe now, next year or whenever BUT tell yourself that someday you are willing to open your heart to a possibility of a connection. This thought will keep you feeling safe and happier. This will also help you face your job pressures better as all areas of our lives are all linked to one another.

Hi.i am 39 years married man.with a 16 year son.i have a major issue with my wife for a couple of years.due to which I want to divorce her and marry a women.but to due to circumstances I am not been able to get things done properly.so my financial condition is not very strong n and no proper support from my family also I love a woman who is divorced and having a 9 year old daughter.and want to get married to her immediately.please advice on this.

I understand that it is difficult to stay in an unhappy marriage. It also seems to me that you already know that you have to legally separate from your wife before you move on to another relationship. I would suggest consulting a divorce lawyer to get a better idea of the whole process. You should also have an open discussion with the woman you are in love with about your financial condition. She should have a clear picture of whom she's marrying. Let me also remind you to be very careful about your dealings and not rush into anything because both of you have young and impressionable kids. They should not have to suffer.

I would suggest you speak to a lawyer on how to legally go around this. On a more emotional level, I can advise you to keep to yourself. I am not able to be of much help without knowing a little more detail about your situation.

Ans: Your realistic good options are newer/mid NITs with core branches, mid IIITs with ECE/IT, and strong Maharashtra colleges like COEP, SPIT, PICT, and VJTI for circuit branches through MHT-CET/JEE quota, while JoSAA targets can include IIIT Pune/Surat/Nagpur ECE and lower branches in NITs like Srinagar, Agartala, Meghalaya, Mizoram, etc. Wait till the MHT-CET results are out for more options.

Ans: Preference order: IIIT Sricity > NIT AP > IIIT Nagpur > IIIT Pune > IIIT Guwahati. Depending upon your choice, home distance, available branches, and your preference, your order may change.

Ans: Your son has a low chance of getting CSE/ECE at top NITs, but he can get ECE or lower CSE-related branches at newer/lower NITs, IIITs, and good GFTIs through JoSAA/CSAB special rounds. Yet, it is better to keep an alternative option in hand.

Ans: CSE @ Govt Colleges seems to be challenging. Please target lower NIT branches via CSAB, GFTIs, and affordable private colleges like BIT Sindri, Government Engineering College Palamu, or low-fee CSE/ECE options in AKTU/Bihar/Odisha counselling.

Ans: You can join without major fear of ECE (Avionics) if you are genuinely interested in the branch. Yet, it is highly recommended to visit the campus in person before making the final decision from home. Go there, talk with the students, see the facilities available, check the placement records etc.

Ans: At VITEEE rank 26,558, VIT Vellore CSE Core is almost not possible, and CSE specialization is only borderline in Category 4, because recent estimates show Vellore CSE specialization closing around 23,000 in Category 3, 27,000 in Category 4, and 31,000 in Category 5. For VIT Chennai, your chances are better. CSE specialization is likely around Category 4 or Category 5, as estimates show Chennai CSE specialization closing around 26,000 in Category 3, 32,000 in Category 4, and 42,000 in Category 5. Core CSE at Chennai is more difficult but may be possible in Category 4/5, with expected closing around 29,000–34,000. For VIT Chennai, your chances are better. Ans: Yes, Manipal Jaipur CSE is worth joining. But your son still has a better option in VIT Chennai through CSE specialization branches (AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, etc.), which generally offer stronger overall placements and brand value than Manipal Jaipur.

Ans: The option of ECE/Electronics with CS is an excellent future-proof stream with strong placements. Preferred order may be BITS Pilani > IIIT Allahabad ECE/IT > NIT Trichy ECE > NIT Surathkal ECE > top IIITs (Gwalior/Jabalpur/Kancheepuram) ECE/ECI.
