Ans: Dear Mummy1212,
From my understanding, same-sex marriage is still not legal in India, but same-sex couples can get the rights and benefits as a live-in couple as per a case ruling by the Supreme Court in August 2022.
So, there you are...

Hi I’m 40 yrs now and. I have a male friend of 23 years old we r good friends. I helped him financially and emotionally and take care of his house his expenses and he too is good but I love him as I have feelings for him but he is more into girls. Initially I managed all his things but he is now into serious relationship with a girl and also wants to marry her but I’m unable to digest that. I know he is right he is moving ahead in life but I’m struck there loving him and he also wants to make his career and be with me, go abroad. We both want to plan to go together but I’m worried as will I tolerate him in all this aspects? Will I see him happy with someone else whom he loves? Should I ignore his relationship and focus on our friendship which is hard. Don’t know what to do kindly suggest plz.
Ans:

Dear JH,

Hang on! Let’s get all the facts right here…

1. He loves you and you love him
2. You supported him financially and emotionally
3. He also wants to be with other girls
4. He is currently in a relationship with another girl and also claims that he will travel abroad
5. You both plan to be together

Did I get all the facts right?

Take a step back and just figure out if he is just missing a ‘Mother Figure’ in his life and if he is actually thinking of you as one.

That’s what you will always be to him if that is the case. Watch how you are playing with your emotions here as whatever be the age, when a heart breaks, it really does break!

Ask yourself: What is it that I am getting from this relationship? Is it love, it is eliminating loneliness, is it validation OR is it you wanting to share love that you have?

These are not reasons enough to be with a person and lock your emotions with. The future is always unknown and uncertain but delve into your heart and simply ask: Do I really want to test the waters OR Do I create my life the way that I want on my own terms as a 40-year old who is complete charge of life? You will clearly get your answer.

All the best and create a beautiful life for yourself.

Hello mam , we are in relationship of total 3 yrs in which long distance is for 2 years we both have their colleges in different state now question arises to our mind about future that we both no we will do job in same location where we study we we both can't compromise to go to any other states as there is less opportunity as we both are in different field this is one of the problem and other is his parents are so strict and belongs to bhramin family they don't accept intercaste marriage even he don't want to step out from his home as he want to take care of his parents .and we are very sure that we don't want to compromise our careers . So how our marriage is possible ? Should we have to leave each other prior to the day comes or is there any solution to it which we both can compromise ??
Ans: Hmmm lets simplify this, what would you tell your friend if she comes and tells you that she has met someone wonderful BUT his parents will not accept her and he will make no efforts to make it work...I am assuming you will tell her to put this relationship on hold for sometime...which means putting it on hold with no interaction, stopping all interactions - giving him space and time to think about it...do this for 6 months to 12 months, this does not mean dating someone else. Here he needs to find a solution, if he does its a win-win, if he does not then he may not be someone she may wish to be in a relationship with...and in the meantime you are likely to ask her to focus on her career. My response to your query will be on the same lines.

Hello Sir, I'm 35 year. And getting 28lpa. Currently I'm invest in 6 SIPs (31k) monthly, 5k in NPS, 26k is personal loan, 17k car emi and purchasing 15k stock in every month. Stock buying I started from jan2024. I have around 25lakh in my sip fund and 10lakh other fund. Now I'm planning to buy a home that cost around 90 lakh. So my question is, can take the 80% home loan and keep my SIP. Or withdraw my all sip fund and reduce home loan amount. Btw my personal loan will complete end of this year. Please suggest withdraw the sip fund is good option or taking the home loan is good option.
Ans: It sounds like you're making some big financial decisions, and it's great that you're considering your options carefully. Taking out a home loan while keeping your SIPs intact could be a strategic move. It allows you to maintain your investment momentum while also spreading out the cost of your home purchase over time.

However, withdrawing your SIP funds to reduce the home loan amount could also be a viable option. It would lower your debt burden and potentially save you on interest payments in the long run.

Before making a decision, consider factors like the interest rates on the home loan versus the potential returns on your SIP investments. Also, think about your long-term financial goals and how each option aligns with them.

Consulting with a financial advisor could provide valuable insight into the best course of action based on your specific circumstances and goals. With careful planning, you'll be on track to achieving your dream of homeownership while securing your financial future.

Ans: It's great to see your diversified portfolio. While your current investments seem well-distributed across various sectors and fund types, it's always a good idea to periodically review and reassess your holdings.

For one-time investments, consider evaluating the performance and future prospects of each fund. Are they aligned with your investment goals and risk tolerance? You might want to assess if any fund's objectives no longer match your investment strategy.

Regarding SIPs, you have a mix of large-cap, mid-cap, small-cap, and sectoral funds, which is commendable for diversification. However, keep an eye on the performance of each SIP and consider rebalancing if necessary.

As for new investments, consider funds that complement your existing portfolio while providing exposure to sectors with growth potential. Research and consult with a financial advisor to identify funds with strong track records and promising outlooks.

Remember, regular review and adjustment are key to maintaining a healthy and optimized investment portfolio.

Hi sir, I'm 25y old. I have a salary of 55k per month I've started investing in May 2022 in mutual funds through SIP for long term 25-30years. Right now I've 60k of invested amount in MF Portfolio doing SIP of 7k per month. I've an emergency fund in FD of 60k and I've health and term insurance for me and family. I also have a personal loan of 6lakh which I took in December 2022. I'm paying 20k monthly for a loan. Still I need to pay 6.22 lakh in 3 years. I'm also thinking of starting investing 10k per month in chit funds for 2 years(trusted chit fund) assuming an annualized return of 15%. My monthly expenses excluding loan and SIP in MF is 23k. My MF Portfolio: Parag Parikh flexi cap - 2.5k Nippon small cap - 2k Axis bluechip - 2k Navi nifty50 index fund -500 Can you please review my MF Portfolio and guide me how I can clear my debt of 6.22 lakh as soon as possible.
Ans: It's fantastic to see your commitment to securing your financial future at such a young age! Your Mutual Fund portfolio shows a good mix, but let's fine-tune it a bit. Are you considering the risk factors of your current investments?

Now, about that loan. It's understandable to want to clear it as soon as possible. Have you thought about increasing your monthly payments towards it? It might ease the burden in the long run.

Regarding chit funds, while they offer potential returns, are you sure about their reliability and transparency? It's crucial to be cautious when exploring new investment avenues.
