Hi Sir, My UAN is not activated because of name mismatch between Aadhar and UAN portal. Now I want to join new employer, does it create any problem for my new employment?

Ans: Hello;

No problem.

You need to fill joint declaration form which should be available with your employer, fill and sign the same along with the copy of your aadhar and submit it to your employer, who in turn submit it to respective EPFO.

EPFO will correct your name in their database. This will take about a month after submission.

Once your name is updated, you can link your UAN with your Aadhaar and hence will be activated.

Sir, employed as manager store, and other hospital work on contract basis. How much tds hospital has to deduct and what rebate will i get under income tax act

Ans: There is no specific rate of TDS for Salary. However, your employer would work out your tax liability on the basis of your salary & other details, which you provide to him & deduct TDS during salary period only.
Whatever TDS is deducted, you can claim its credit when you file your ITR for the period. In case of excess deduction, you may claim refund.

Sold Equity Shares in my Demat A/c thru NSE in July'24 and the shares were bought in 2022 or earlier. Should LTCG would be taxed @10% or 20% with indexation benefit for AY2025-26.

Ans: 01. Your LTCG will be taxed @ 12.50% without Indexation You.
02. Please note that first LTCG on Securities would be exempt up to an amount of Rs.1.25 lakhs.

Ans: You question seems to be incomplete. How you have claimed exemption u/s 54F in recent ITR. Which property or asset you have sold ? Another point is how you have claimed exemption, against which tax saving (whether against any house property or Capital gain Bonds etc.) ?

Hello sir, just wanted to know abt the tax status in case of bonus issue. For example, RIL will be giving bonus shares @1:1 as decided in AGM. So, how these sahres' value will be treated? Whether there will be capital gain? Short term or long term? What value to be considered of these shares for calculating profit? Thnx

Ans: 01. Value of Bonus Shares shall be treated as zero/nil to work out Capital Gain.
02. Tax liability will be there only when you sell the shares. On allotment there is no Tax Liability.
03. Whether it is LTCG or STCG depends upon the period you holed there shares. More than one year holding period will shift the gain to Long Term instead of Short term.

My Grandmother had 1 residential property in her name, currently it was sold and the sale amount is equally distributed between my 3 paternal uncles and since my father had expired so my fathers share is distributed among me, my mother and my sister. I want to know the capital tax implications and how to avoid paying capital gain tax on this matter.

Ans: 01. In this case all 3 of you (You, Your Mother & Sister) have to file ITR separately, showing the LTCG (Amount received from such sale - minus its Cost).
02. This LTCG can be reinvested either in House Property or Capital Gain Bonds, to save tax liability.

Hi. I'm divorced. I'm 40. I'm financially independent. Last year I rent out my apartment. He was 30 years old man. Somehow I got attached to him mentally and physically ( once) for very short period. All though I knew it doesn't have any future. But the thing hurts me most is after being physical he totally avoided me very rudely. Now I feel every awkward in front of him. I want to terminate the tenancy. Am I wrong????

No, you are not wrong in wanting to terminate the tenancy especially since it has become awkward now. Do find a good reason to ask him to leave and also try and find another tenant to occupy the place so that you are in no financial loss due to this.
Protecting your mind space is a good priority to have.

Dear Madam I am married in 2011 with blessed by 2 kids. our marriage was arrange and before our marriage we talk around 9 months together recently in July I got a news from my close relative that my wife is talking with EX Boyfriend with the help of his sister. I really shocked and sad when I listen this. she also planning to go outside of city with him for 10 days. The person is friendly with his mother side family also. my wife never talks with me for 1 months. After this what should I do .

This must be addressed and quickly as well. Where is your wife's mind at? What is her sister doing in all of this? What makes your wife leave her family and go on this trip?
Ask her, listen to her...reasoning out may not be the best option as she's surely got her emotions invested in this guy; so tread carefully...you need to lure your wife back, so do not do anything to make her jump into his arms, but do what is needed to make her look back and find her bearings back with her family.

Hi Everyone, I am planning to buy a residential land with funds from my home loan, my father's savings and money redeemed from stocks and mutual funds invested by my mother. Can you suggest a way to reduce liability on the LTCG tax of my mother. As in can we include her name in the property so that she can show full sale amount invested in property to claim exemption u/s 54F and then later on through gift deed withdraw her name from the property so that I become the sole owner which is the end goal.

Ans: 01. Please may plan to purchase the house property in joint name with your mother. She can claim exemption from LTCGs in her ITR.
02. After purchase of property, you may get her WILL Registered in your favor, so that you become the sloe owner of property after her. Even during her life, she can make a gift in your favor.
