My question does appetite and quantity of food eaten come down with age. I am 64 my appetite has come down drastically now even if I skip meals often I won't feel hungry. Earlier this was not the case. I would eat normal and regularly. I would hv good breakfast and eat 5 chapati s at lunch evening dinner was rice vegetables sambar or dal .now even eating 3 rotis for lunch hv become a task for me. With difficulty I am able to eat completely 2 chapatis . Even my evening dinner has come down. I feel guilty at the food getting wasted. What is causing this problem. Is this related to ageing process. I got various tests done as advised by doctors but reports are more or less normal. What are your suggestions for improvements. Your guidance will be highly appreciated

Ans: There are many reasons for loss of appetite
With ageing appetite does not get lost but intake becomes lesser and you satiated with lesser quantity.
In all these how are you in your energy levels for your daily routine
If this is good then please do not worry.
If this is not good then look at your lifestyle
Improve on the phtsical. Activity. Have a good sleep rhythm
