I m 20 year old boy . Dr gave me methylprednisolone 16 for the treatment of eczema. Is this harmful or had any bad effects on health lin long term

Ans: Prednisolone when given on specific short term will not be harmful
But long term should be well reserved only for certain medical conditions. Eczema does not fall in to this criteria

Ans: Yes. Taking Omeprozole on long term is not good.
Why were you taking Omee
If it is acid peptic disease, you need to have the right quality food, with right quantity at the right time and right way helps to balance and maintain a healthy acid mucus barrier

Sir, I am in the ae of 57 and suffering from diabetics since last 3 years and now I am taking "DIAPRIDE M2 HV, 1 TAB twice a day and Extenter capsule 1 daily evening since last 7 months. My diabetic level is under control. Is there any problem for its prolonged continuation? 2nd, is there any vision problem for its long usage. I am eagerly waiting for your valuable answer.

Ans: I don't think there is any problem with continuing the medicines for long. I don't think the drugs affect vision, however long standing diabetes itself can affect the eyes. You should undergo an eye check up at least once a year

Ans: It is an excellent medication for management of symptoms of Parkinsonism. It needs to be titrated to the individual with respect to the right balance between tremor and paucity of movt. Too little or too much would cause poor control of symptoms.

Hello sir, 1. For my high cholesterol, doctor prescribed Rosivastitin 10 mg and I am taking it since last more than one year. Is there any harm in taking it for years together? 2. For my enlarged prostate, dr prescribed Rapili D8. I am taking it for last morecthan one and a half years. Any harm/side effects for taking it regularly? Thnx

Ans: Please note that every medicine has some side effects. It is just that when we see more benefit than risk, these are prescribed. I advise that you get repeat lab tests done. Increase your lifestyle modifications and statins can be stopped. In my clinical practice, I have stopped Statins for many patients without any issue.

regarding other medicine for Prostate, it need to be continued and consult your physician for further and next step.
