Now a days we are hearing a lot on reversal of diabetes. We hear stories of chronic diabetic patient who were insulin dependant for many years getting free of diabetic medicine in a year's time and also of people who have landed up in ICU's after starting the programme. Can these stories be believed and weather reversal is really possible . Being a diabetic since the last 2 years would like to get a clarity from an expert like you.

Ans: Diabetes remission is a better term than reversal. Patient selection is important and it may not be possible in all. Diet and lifestyle changes are the key, with weight reduction if required. Need guidance with a team of a Doctor and a Registered Dietitan. Initially some medicines may also help with weight and then gradually tapered. Even after remission, regular monitoring may be needed as advised.

I m suffering from diabetes problem since last 15 years and is on allopathic medicines. Is it reverser able .

Ans: Diabetes can be managed with lowering blood sugar levels by following a healthy lifestyle and dietary modifications. Increasing basal metabolic rate by adapting to a high complex carbohydrate and fiber rich diet, with good protein foods and low total and healthy fats will ensure less spikes in blood sugar levels. Exercises which include building muscle mass and lowering body fat will lower the incidence of hyperglycemia. Avoid processed, canned foods, sweets, alcohol, fatty foods, etc. As the blood sugar levels are lowered, medication doses may need to be altered.

Is it possible to reverse diabetes and stop medication

Ans: Diabetes management is monitoring blood sugar levels within the normal range. By following a complex carbohydrate, good protein and low fat diet, you can bring about effective blood sugar control. Avoid high fat and sugar foods, foods containing refined cereals like red meat, maida, fries, packaged, fast foods, etc. as they will add excess calories in your diet and increase fat percentage. Exercise for at least 30 minutes for minimum 5 days a week. As the blood sugar levels are lowered, medication doses can be reduced or altered.

Ans: Diabetes is one of the lifestyle diseases which needs strict discipline and modification in one's lifestyle
Two most important ones are dietary discipline and exercise
Have an early dinner by 6 pm
Go for brisk walks Atleast 30 mts five times a week

Ans: Chances with CSE/ECE/EE with top NITs are almost nil. But he has good chances of EE/ECE in lower NITs like NIT Manipur (home state advantage), NIT Agartala, NIT Nagaland, NIT Mizoram, plus CSE/ECE only in newer IIITs or GFTIs via CSAB/spot rounds.

Ans: You have a chance in OUTR/OEC-type Odisha government colleges and lower branches like Mechanical/Civil/Electrical; in VSSUT, but OUTR Bhubaneswar is the better and more likely option than VSSUT.

Ans: With a 96.654 percentile, your son's approximate CRL may be around 50,000–55,000, which looks competitive because NFSU also called many candidates beyond the top 100 merit numbers in its second counselling list. The programme has only 40 seats (may or may not increase) at Gandhinagar, so apply immediately and keep documents ready. Ans: Chances of CSE @ NITs/IIITs are almost nil. Try with state government colleges, private universities (like tier-2/3 engineering colleges), and a few GFTIs or low-demand branches (civil/biotech/EEE) if seats remain in CSAB.

Ans: Yes, JIIT Noida Sector 62 ECE is the better recommendation over Mechanical at Shiv Nadar Greater Noida, unless the student has a strong personal interest in core mechanical, robotics, design or manufacturing. JIIT’s official placement page shows strong overall placements, with a ?11.28 LPA average and a ?7.01 LPA median for the 2026 batch so far. JIIT also states that ECE students get opportunities in companies like Qualcomm, Microsoft, Amazon and STMicroelectronics. Shiv Nadar is academically strong and its mechanical curriculum includes automation, design and manufacturing, but mechanical placements are generally narrower than ECE/tech roles. Ans: Rahul Sir, Recommended order is 1) IIIT-Delhi CSD, 2) NSUT IT, 3) DTU MnC, 4) NSUT MnC. IIIT-Delhi is research-focused and coding-intensive, and design + CS gives scope in software, product, UI/UX tech, HCI, AI products, and startups. NSUT IT is safest for traditional software placements and brand comfort; NSUT’s CSE department also highlights strong MNC campus selection. DTU MnC has an excellent brand and tech scope. Ans: Chances of CSE in NIT/IIIT are almost nil/dim. You should focus on state government colleges in your state, private engineering colleges, or GFTIs with lower cutoffs, while keeping NIT/IIIT only as very long-shot CSAB options in non-CS branches.

Ans: Chances with CSE are nil. You have a chance of getting into ECE at newer NITs and some IIITs. Good options include NIT Hamirpur, NIT Uttarakhand, NIT Sikkim, NIT Agartala, NIT Meghalaya, and NIT Goa (ECE/EEE where available), plus IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Una, IIIT Kottayam, and IIIT Sri City (ECE/ETC).

Ans: You can expect lower-demand branches in IGDTUW/DTU/NSUT (such as civil, environmental, biotech, mechanical-related) with better chances in spot/upgradation rounds than in top CS/ECE branches.
