Hi Dr, My daughter is 12 years old and son is 8 years old. They are urinating in bed at night times. How to overcome this issue. My second question is Both of them having cough and wheezing very frequently. Though they are talking asthalin inhaler, is there any home theraphy for both the problems. Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Ans: By 7-8 years, a child should be able to sleep through the night without passing urine. Restrict all fluids including milk to 1 hour before bedtime. Bladder needs to be emptied at 1 hour before and at bedtime. No screen time for 2 hours before bedtime. If in spite of these measures, the problem persists then get a urine routine test done
If wheezing is persistent inspite of Asthalin, then they probably have asthma and will require a steroid inhaler in addition.

My son is 10 years old and he is restless and is not able to sleep at night and frequently visits the washroom most of the times in the night, how can I help him so he gets better and he sleeps peacefully?

Ans: By 10, the child should sleep through the night without having to pass urine. See that he drinks no fluids from 1 hour before bedtime. For example, if he sleeps by 10, last fluid intake should be before 9 pm. This means no milk either. He need to pass urine at 9 pm and then again at 10 pm, i.e.1 hour before and at bedtime.
Also, no screen time for 2 hours before bedtime.
If , in spite of these measures, he still needs to pass urine after sleeping, then he needs a urine test and a check up.

My daughter is 13+ old and she is suffering from mental retardation and convelsion and under treatment of child neurologist and taking medicine tab Volprin 2*2 and tab levipile .5*3 and she is stable now.But she urinate in bed during sleeping.What can we do to overcome to urinate?

Ans: Restrict fluid intake from 1-2 hours before bedtime. The bladder should be emptied an hour before and just before bedtime.
Her neurologist may prescribe certain medication if above measures don't help.

My grandson aged 4 yrs frequently have Dry coughing suddenly which aggravates in night more.. pl advise for his cure..Also advise for increasing his immunity. Overall his wt is 14 kgs , physique , intelligence, appetite is good.. Thanks Madam.

Ans: Weight is within normal range for his age though slightly below average. A cough that is worse at night could be a warning sign for asthma. Hence I advise you to get him examined by his pediatrician who may advise certain tests.
A diet rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables build up immunity. Avoid processed and packaged foods especially sweet stuff.

Ans: At this age, bladder control should be developed. A urine test should be done and bladder urodynamic study. If all normal then medication can be started.

Ans: Let him do what he is interested in. If he is not interested in IT or any specific area then it makes sense to do an MBA. An MBA from top B school could open up a lot of opportunities.

My daughter is doing her BSc Honours in Physics from Delhi University. She is an ace student but due to sickness, she got backlogs in 3 subjects in 5th semester. Shes devastated and gone into depression as this is the first time ever she's has got F grade in her academic life. Will she get admission in Msc Physics? In India or abroad?? Recently DU has sent letters to her college stating that there could be 80% chance of 4th year added for BSc Honours. Will this help. Also, will her whole 1 year waste as if the 4th year extension is not added then she will hv to give exam on coming December to clear the backlogs wid juniors. Will all this affect her admission in pg? Will she get admission in abroad universities??

Ans: Failure is part of life and it is important to face failures else you cannot cope up with failures when it comes. Having backlogs is not a big thing. If she cannot give her backlog now but has to wait for next year then she can think of doing her 4th year in the college and simultaneously clear her backlog. But if she can clear her backlog and get admission to MSc then she can not do her 4th year and instead try get admission to post graduate course.

Ans: Try for both, getting a good job and simultaneously prepare for MBA entrance exams. If you get a good college then take it up, leaving your job. If you get a good job that you like then can think of the option of doing online MBA.

Hello sir. I m final year bcom student and my field is accounts and finance. After 3 to 4 month my bcom graduation will get over and i am planning to do MBA in finance. So i am planning to get admit in good mba college by writing pgcet exam. If i dint get good rank in pgcet then i wont join mba rather i will do job and gain experience of one year and then rewrite pgcet exam for good rank. So currently i am confused should i Focus on my pgcet prepration or should i focus on skills and courses like powerbi, advance excel, analysis etc.

Ans: If you are sure you want to get into a good MBA college, then focus on pgcet. Also can write other management entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, etc.

Ans: CAT is a good option as there are many colleges that accept CAT. It is definitely possible for a student from tier 3 institute to get into top Management college as long as you are able to crack the written test and are able to do well in the interview.

Ans: Do something that you are interested in. So if you are interested in Coding then can take that up. But today coders also are facing problem with jobs due to AI. If you are interested in MBA then can go ahead and do an MBA. But try and do it from a good college else you will face problem in placements.
