Dear Doctor, I had suffered viral fever in the third week of November, and since then suffering from Joint pains- in my ankles, elbow, wrists, knees, finger joints, etc. I tried Homeo medicines for a month, but it continued after the effect of the medicine was over. Any cure for the same?

Ans: Hello Paul,
Joint pains may occur after a viral fever. However usually within 6 weeks it should settle.
Have you done your blood tests recently especially for Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, uric acid etc? If not please do a complete blood profile to know if anything is amiss.
Ayurveda can help with this. They can recommend certain oils you can apply on your joints and also give you some nutrition modifications which can reduce inflammation in your body and thereby reduce your joint pains. Example if sugar, dairy and gluten containing products can be curtailed it usually helps a lot.
You may also once visit a physiotherapist. Some mobility exercises shown by them may help you too.
I feel with consultation with an Ayurveda doctor and a physiotherapist should help you quite a lot.

I am70 years male with diabetes and HT in control since 15 years. Last month I got cold and flue like infection with stuffed nose , back flow and sore throat. But I still have not recovered . First time I feel persistent mild headache in frontal sinuses area specially on left side and pain in forehead, itching , burning and tired eyes like symptom. Vision too was checked and numbers changed. I feel pain deep inside left nose around eye corner. That is my reissue. Both eye and ENT experts have cleared that nothing abnormal found. It may be allergy. But symptoms are not allergy. I took monte Lukas with levo cetrogen . I feel pain and stiff ness in my neck with spondylosis. Could it be that or some deep infection in left nostril What could line of diagnosis/treatment including x-ray of PNS and MRI of head and neck .Or is it due to some thing up in the nose?

Ans: You could get a CT scan of the paranasal sinuses.
Can also try Furamist Az nasal spray in each nostril twice a day (after checking with your physician)

Madam, Suffering from Migratory viral arthritis pain ( after initial fever for three days) since last 50 days. Joint Pain keeps shifting (started with sudden swelling of knee) to other joints/ bones. Is this normal ? How long this will last ? Any dietary or exercise advice please.

Ans: Hello Anoymous,
Usually post viral arthritis pain should settle after 2-3 weeks. If it is lasting for so long please do consult a physiotherapist. They may give you Ultrasound, release some muscles, exercises which could help you.
You can also do contrast bath like 10 minutes icing followed by 10 minutes of hot pack to the painful joint.
You can also gently apply sesame oil over all your joints everyday half an hour before bathing. That helps in pain relief.
One consult with a nutritionist could help you. You need to reduce/stop your sugar intake, have more fruits, boiled vegetables, soups, add a little more ginger and turmeric to your food but it is best to take a proper consult from a nutritionist.

I was treated for chiken gunya fever 2 months back. Since then though there is no fever I am have ng severe joint pains. Particularly in both wrists and fingers and both ankle joints and toes. I am unable to practice my daily yoga and walking too .I am 70 years. No BP or diabetes. Thank you KLNarasimham Visakhapatnam

Ans: Chikungunya pain usually persist for many weeks.
Can you please get Uric acid and other lab tests such as serum calcium and KFT done. While you do not have any diagnosed condition, it is better to rule out any other condition which may exist.

Sell some of your asset like land, gold or vehicle to repay the loan on priority.

Don't borrow to repay existing loans. Restructure the loans or seek a moratorium till you get a job.

Borrow funds from family and friends explaining your mistakes and promise to repay once you get another job.

Keep in mind the old saying to cut your cloth as per your size and act accordingly.

If I failed in class 12 in one subject this year. but passed in jee mains. can i still give advanced? considering that I will pass boards in compartment exams with minimum of 75%. Compartment will be in July and its result gets declared in August. Even if im eligible, wont it affect my councelling process. as it is in june july only?

You are eligible for JEE (Adv) and there will be no effect on the counseling process provided that you must fulfill all the criteria laid by the IIT institutions.

Ans: Landowner is liable to pay Income Tax for the portion he is surrendering to the builder. Sale Consideration will be considered as value of developed area on stamp duty rate, you have retained after its Redevelopment.

Hello! I am resident of Canada ,wants to get Rs 40 lakhs from India from my father for making a down payment of property I looking to purchase in Canada.just want to ask do my father have to pay any tax on it, he is looking to sell a plot

Ans: 01. When your father sells a plot in India, he would be subject to Capital Gain Tax (may be Long Term or Short Term), under the I.T.Act.
02. TCS will be collected/deducted, when your father transfer you money.
03. TCS deducted can be claimed back by filing his ITR. Amount of TCS shall be refunded after adjustment of due taxes in his ITR.
04. Please note that both these transactions should be done in the same financial year.
