My creatine level is 1.4 I have done angioplasty in 2008 Hb A1C is 6.2 fasting glucose 100, I am taking Rusuvastin F10, Ecosprin 75 & nexovas 10mg. What should I do to lower creatine & sugar level

Ans: Please see if you are taking some traditional medicines or some supplement which are protein rich. If creatinine increase is a recent phenomenon that it might be related to acute renal injury. However, if it has increased slowly, then it need further examination. It could be related to diabetic nephropathy.

Please let me know your age to allow me to calculate eGFR which will guide me to provide better advice.

Ans: I would like to know your age and other health condition. Not sure if you are on treatment for diabetes or it is just one off reading.

Are you taking any medicine from traditional system of medicines?

It would be presumptuous for me to jump on conclusion based upon single parameter. Please share detailed report and information about your health. specially KFT; blood sugar parameters etc.

I am 68. Diabetic with uncontrolled blood sugar ranging from 250-300. Suffering from BPH, CKD creatinine 1.8. Angioplasty done on 04/01/2014. Is there any way to reduce the creatinine level

Ans: With the creatinine value shared by you, Your eGFR- a parameter of kidney function- is 40. That means you have Chronic Kidney Diseases and since you have diabetes, The Diabetic Nephropathy.

Your focus should not be only on creatinine but effective sugar control as well. Your shared blood sugar levels indicate about uncontrolled diabetes, which is worsening kidney condition.

Please consult a physician/diabetologist as well as schedule one consultation with a nephrologist as well. There is need for giving this some urgent attention.

I have taken a policy from SBI Life insurance Retire Smart plan. The policy is for 10 years with a premium payment for 5 years. I have taken the policy in February 2020 and with this month 5 yearsare completed. Now, I want to come out of this. How can I come out with minimum loss.? Can I surrender or close?

Ans: Hello;

Even if you surrender now you can get 60% of your fund value, after deducting charges, and for the balance 40% you have buy an annuity from SBI Life.

This is as per terms and conditions mentioned in the brochure of this plan.

With 97.7 %tile, under OBC-NCL, female category, she may get admission in one of the NITs but not surely in Trichy. You may have to compromise the NIT and branch.

For the All India Quota (AIQ) in NEET, only the central OBC-NCL list is considered. If your OBC-NCL certificate is from your state but your caste is not in the central OBC list, then it will not be valid for AIQ reservations. If your caste is in both the state and central OBC lists, apply for a central OBC-NCL certificate to use it for AIQ in NEET.

Under the ST category, your son can get admission to one of the NITs. But the chances of getting AI+ML may be challenging. Hence keep other branches' options open. Best of luck to your son.
