I am engineer with 16 years of IT experience and now a break of 11 yrs. But in 11 yrs I had been taking Quantitative aptitude lectures as a visiting faculty in various engineering and MBA colleges and also done Mutual fund certification. I haven't been siting but doing many things professionally in last 11 yrs(In my subject of interest as Maths, Teaching, Finance, Accounting, Wealth Management). I was thinking of doing ESG certification. What kind of role I would get if i am CFA ESG certified.I am looking for Professionally and intellectually engaging role where I can contribute to Society. Not a very NGO type( I have tried working with few NGO's)
Ans: I won't recommend you to go for ESG certification unless you are having a background of Env. Engg and Environmental Impact Assessment. The certificate course of ESG is costly also. I would request you to open your own academy ( if off line not possible then online) and go for only one subject. Let me know your age.Focus only on one subject. You have explored many areas and now you are perplexed. Here the questions are assigned to me through rediffmail. So second time whether your question will come to me or not is not known to anyone of us. Due to the policy I can’t share my email ID and Phone Number. I have counselled and changed thousands of lives. As long as I am there I won’t allow you to be defeated. Mind that always I am there with you like an invisible shadow to show you the right career path. But I would request you to follow me in LINKEDIN and send request so that I can accept you, then through LINKEDIN I can counsel you in the future multiple times. Through LINKEDIN I will be readily and easily accessible.

Hello, I'm about to start my first year ECE what skills and certifications do i need?
Ans: Entering your first year in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), you need a blend of technical skills, professional certifications, and domain exposure to gain a competitive edge in campus and off-campus placements. Start with core technical skills such as C/C++ programming, MATLAB, Python, digital logic design, basic circuits, and embedded systems. Accredited platforms like NPTEL (by IITs/IISc; certifications cost ?1,000–?2,000 per exam) offer rigorous, employer-accepted courses on VLSI, DSP, IoT, and Embedded Systems. Coursera and edX collaborate with top universities to deliver specialized ECE certificates—options like “Internet of Things” (University of California, $49), “Fundamentals of Network Communication” (University of Colorado, $49), and “Embedded Systems” (University of Texas, $49) have global recognition. IEEE offers professional certifications in topics like Network Security, IoT, and AI; for example, the Certified Electronics Technician (CET) from ETA International (?5,500) and CCNA by Cisco (?25,000) are highly regarded in the electronics industry. Platforms such as Udemy provide practical, placement-oriented courses—“Complete Electronics Engineering” (?800–?1,600) and “IoT and Embedded Systems” (?1,600–?3,000)—with completion certificates. The Indian Institute of Embedded Systems (IIES) delivers placement-driven programs with live projects for ?35,000–?40,000. NPTEL’s “Domain Certification” system allows students to specialize and get badges recognized by recruiters. Five key aspects to prioritize when choosing a certification provider are: official industry or university accreditations, comprehensive curriculum depth, mentorship/coaching quality, project/internship opportunities within the program, and global employer acceptance of certificates. Effective preparation across all four years should combine annual technical certifications (embedded systems, VLSI, IoT, Python), professional networking via IEEE webinars/workshops, and soft skills (communication, teamwork, interview preparation) through platforms like LinkedIn Learning. Completing sector-recognized certifications and building project portfolios through internships or guided courses is essential to maximize placement odds in both core electronics and IT roles.

Recommendation:
Pursue accredited certifications every year from NPTEL, Coursera, EdX, IEEE, and Cisco, and complement them with project-based learning and internships to ensure technical mastery and employability. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Sir I got 89.52 percentile with rank of 1.62 lakh in jee mains as delhi female I want to aim for cse /it / ece at govt or good private college . Moreover tell me about is ipu good for good placements . How much should I focus on tier of college is tier 2.5 or tier 3 better for me . I am also confused whether to take drop or not my maths percentile was least around 25 percentile and in chem and phy around 94 and 90 what would be best for me .
Ans: With an 89.52 percentile (approximately 1.62 lakh CRL), securing CSE, IT, or ECE in NITs or most IIITs through JoSAA is unlikely for an unreserved candidate, so it is best to use JoSAA and CSAB for lower-demand branches in GFTIs or NITs only. For Delhi, IPU is a strong option, particularly colleges like USICT, MAIT, MSIT, and BVCOE, with recent placement data showing credible hiring and a highest package of 41.2 LPA in 2024, although outcomes vary by college and branch. It is advisable to prioritize branch and college quality over focusing solely on tiers, as a good Tier-2.5 IPU seat in CSE/IT is preferable to a weak Tier-3 seat elsewhere. Given a 25 percentile in Maths, dropping a year is risky unless there is a realistic chance of substantial improvement; otherwise, it is better to accept the best available CSE/IT/ECE seat now. Fill in the maximum of your preferred choices in JoSAA counselling and if possible/affordable by your parents, have 3-4 private engineering colleges also as backups (in and around Delhi/neighbouring States) instead of relying only on JoSAA, CSAB & JAC. ALL the BEST for Your Prosperous Future!
