As CSE has bright career chances, but he does not want to leave IIT brand also , considering same please guide for choice between IIT PATNA mechanical or IIIT bangalore. Will it be a goid option to go for IIT Patna mechanical and covering CS related courses along with or IIIT bangalore. Pl advice,
Ans: IIT Patna’s Mechanical Engineering department achieved an 84.75% placement rate in 2023-24 with an average package of ?11.06 LPA, supported by 22 PhD-qualified faculty, state-of-the-art workshops, advanced manufacturing, fluid, materials and robotics labs, and industry-driven automotive and product-design projects that foster hands-on learning and core engineering expertise. IIIT Bangalore’s integrated MTech CSE and new BTech DSAI programs delivered 638 placement offers in 2025 with an average package of ?37.01 LPA, feature a NAAC A+ accredited campus, internationally qualified PhD faculty, cutting-edge AI, data science, high-density electronics and semiconductor labs, and strong collaborations with industry leaders like Novo Nordisk and BCIC for research, internships, and entrepreneurship support. The IIT curriculum emphasizes fundamental mechanics and multidisciplinary capstone teams, while IIIT Bangalore focuses on project-based computing, analytics, and incubation pathways to fast-track tech careers.

Recommendation:
For a computing-focused career with immediate industry exposure and advanced data science training, recommendation is IIIT Bangalore for its specialized CSE/DSAI curriculum, leading placements, and robust academic-industry collaborations. Opt for IIT Patna Mechanical only if the IIT brand prestige and core engineering versatility align critically with future aspirations. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
