With the rise of gen AI, GitHub copilot, LLM OS, Devin etc and the softening of demand for CS graduates, Is a B Tech in CS still a good career option? How might the job market change by the time these kids graduate?

Ans: Softening of software demand is cyclic and will see an upswing. Great idea to go for Comp Science.

Dear Sir, My son right now will appear for 10th Board next year (in Year 26) is very much keen for Computer Science, as he coding is his passion. But Since we are seeing rapid changes in computer world, from AI to Chatgpt and every other day some new inventions. By the time he will complete his Graduation with CS from even reputed institute many of the things will be out dated. Also I am still not sure, weather he will be able to get good job for long term basis as I believe, Computer field is changing very rapidly as it is difficult for any other to keep on updating with a changing phase, So I need your view/advices on my thought Please.

Ans: Pass exams like MCSE.

I would honestly recommend you to avoid ULIPs under all circumstances because they are inefficient both for insurance as well as investment returns.

It is better to buy adequate term life cover and invest in NPS and mutual funds for retirement and other financial goals.

I had to survive during the lockdown, so I withdrew everything from my EPF about 6 lakhs. I told myself I'd replace it later. But now I'm 38, with two kids and zero retirement savings. I feel like I made the biggest mistake of my life. Can I realistically rebuild in time?

No need to panic. That was your need at that point of time so it's okay.

First and foremost open an NPS account for retirement planning. It allows very limited withdrawals.

Invest in it as much as possible. You can also set-up monthly regular investment into NPS through D-remit feature.

Even if you invest 25 K per month in NPS you may expect a corpus of 1.8 Cr at the age of 60 assuming modest return of 8%.

Managing your personal finance by watching YouTube videos of finfluencers can be injurious to your financial health.

Do not fall for it ever because their are vested interests. Keep in mind that if something is available for free then you are the product.

It would be better to consult an investment advisor or a certified financial planner.

Ans: Adarsh, as per the Information Brochure of BITSAT 2025: Session Selection
Candidates can register for Session-1 or both sessions while submitting the application.
If the candidates initially register only for Session-1, they may opt for Session-2 later (application window: 26th May 2025 to 10th June 2025). Score Consideration :For candidates appearing in both sessions, the higher of the two scores will be considered for admission. According to this information, you may apply for both sessions or just for session 1. It is not possible to apply solely for session-2. The date has been extended until April 24th, with only 2 days remaining. It’s advisable to apply for both as a contingency if your primary focus is on BITS. All the best for your admissions!
