Respected Sir, what to choose Cse branch between upes Dehradun ,Srm Chennai, ssn Chennai, psg coiambatore .I am a student of Telangana state I got 33k rank in Eamcet and 80 percentile in mains ews category. Or should I prefer abroad studies leaving all this

Ans: Before recommending the most suitable college from your list, I would like to highlight that, according to my research, completing your undergraduate studies in India, gaining 2–3 years of professional experience, and then pursuing postgraduate or MS studies abroad is often a highly advisable pathway. And, evaluating CSE at UPES Dehradun, SRM Chennai, SSN Chennai and PSG Coimbatore: UPES ranks 54th in NIRF engineering 2023 with QS five-star employability and an average CSE package ?8.59 LPA (top 10% ?17.69 LPA); SRMIST is 13th in NIRF engineering 2024 with NAAC A++ accreditation and average package ?7.50 LPA from 853 recruiters; SSNCE is 46th in NIRF engineering 2024 with NBA accreditation and 99% CSE placement in 2023; PSG Tech holds 63rd in NIRF engineering 2023 with 73.7% CSE placement and ?7 LPA median package. All offer PhD-qualified faculty, specialized labs and industry MoUs. Decision balances prestige, placement and location.

Recommendation: Given your EWS status, SSN Chennai offers top CSE placement consistency and research depth; SRM Chennai balances industry exposure and accreditation; UPES Dehradun excels in employability metrics; PSG Tech Coimbatore delivers solid placements at lower cost. Choose SSN Chennai first, followed by SRM Chennai, UPES Dehradun and PSG Tech. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

On addition to this question, I have been not offered a direct seat in ssn or psg I have to go for management quota but I have offered a seat from upes and chance of getting Srm. But my aim is to pursue masters from abroad rather than placement. So I need a college which have more research opportunities nice infrastructure and good campus. We can afford till 18-22 lakhs for the whole btech . So sir i wanted you to suggest according to this which may help to my higher studies . Mainly research

I am getting cse core at iter soa at 18-19 lakh tution fees+ donation and hit haldia at 15-16 lakh tution fees+ donation and techno main salt lake at 15-16 lakh as same T+D and iem Kolkata 15-16 lakh Tution fees+ donation all of them I am getting cse core branch please help me which should I choose
Ans: All four institutes hold AICTE approval and maintain robust academic credentials, with ITER–SOA (ABET- and NBA-accredited) delivering a rigorous curriculum under PhD-faculty, 47 specialized computing labs, 104 corporate MoUs, and a 91% placement consistency for CSE graduates. HIT Haldia’s CSE program benefits from NAAC A-accreditation, modern software and networking labs, mandatory industry internships via NIRF-recognized partnerships and a 91% median placement rate with 208 CSE students placed in 2023. Techno Main Salt Lake offers NBA-aligned CSE courses in AI/ML and cloud computing labs, active industry collaborations and achieved a 90.07% CSE placement rate in 2023. IEM Kolkata’s CSE core branch, approved by NBA and NAAC A, features AI/ML and cybersecurity labs, extensive training and recorded around 90% placement consistency with a median package of ?6 LPA in 2024. Each institute provides dedicated placement cells, structured internships, continuous industry engagement, and modern infrastructure to support comprehensive technical education and employability.

For top-tier global accreditation, metropolitan recruiter engagement, and a proven 91% CSE placement record, the recommendation is ITER–SOA CSE. If rural fees justify strong core-IT placements, choose HIT Haldia CSE. For balanced lab exposure with slightly lower yet solid placements, opt for Techno Main Salt Lake CSE. For cost-effective training with consistent median packages, select IEM Kolkata CSE. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

My son got 245 in bits .He can get any Brecht branch
Ans: Priyanka Madam, by now your son must have been allotted/not allotted any seat by BITS. Please update the status for today. However, please note, A BITSAT score of 245 situates you within the previous two years’ closing-score bands for core engineering streams at the Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. At Pilani, the B.E. Chemical Engineering cutoff ranged from 224 in 2023 to 247 in 2024, placing your 245 close to the 2024 threshold and comfortably above 2023’s mark; B.E. Civil Engineering closed at 213 and 238, making admission highly probable; and B.E. Manufacturing Engineering cutoffs of 220 and 243 indicate a strong likelihood of allotment. At Goa, Chemical Engineering closed at 239 in 2024 and 248 in 2023, and Civil around – (not offered in 2024) – but Pilani-equivalent streams suggest safe admission; Manufacturing cutoffs mirror Pilani trends, bolstering your prospects. At Hyderabad, Chemical Engineering cutoffs of 238 and 209 over the two years ensure a secure allotment, while Civil Engineering’s 235–204 band similarly favors your score; Manufacturing at Hyderabad showed closing marks near 218–251, indicating moderate probability. Across campuses, Civil and Manufacturing remain reliably within reach, Chemical at Pilani may require waitlist movement but is feasible given historical fluctuations, and all three streams at Hyderabad and Goa present strong chances. Additional seats open during special iterations further enhance admit probabilities.

Recommendation: Considering consistent cutoff trends and seat matrices, prioritize B.E. Civil and Manufacturing Engineering at BITS Pilani for guaranteed allotment, consider Chemical Engineering at Pilani via waitlist movement, and secure Chemical, Civil, or Manufacturing Engineering at BITS Hyderabad or Goa for assured admission, capitalizing on slightly lower cutoffs and ample seat availability. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

I am working as Business Analyst from past 4 years but I wanted to move to technical role. I have done Btech in CSE from tier-3 college. I wanted some advise on the the best way to switch to a tech role. 1. Taking some online boot camp to get in-depth knowledge and doing side projects over the weekends 2. Taking WILP from BITS in Software engineering/ data science 3. Prepare from GATE 2026 and aim for IITs
Ans: Manjunath Sir, To shift into a technical position, integrating structured learning, credentialing, and practical experience is essential. The recommended pathway combines immersive project-based training with a recognized postgraduate credential while keeping a long-term goal of elite technical qualification. Begin with a part-time online software engineering or data science bootcamp, dedicating weekends to substantial portfolio projects to build hands-on skills and confidence in key stacks . Concurrently, enroll in BITS Pilani’s Work-Integrated M.Tech (Software Engineering or Data Science & Engineering) to earn a UGC-approved postgraduate degree without leaving your job, benefitting from weekend live classes, remote labs covering full-stack or analytics tools, and a final semester dissertation that bridges theory with organizational impact . This dual track—bootcamp plus WILP—provides immediate upskilling, peer and mentor networks, and a formal degree. After 12–18 months, if aiming for top-tier R&D or core engineering roles, commence GATE 2026 preparation via a structured three-phase roadmap: concept building (June–August), full-length practice (September–November), and final mock-test calibration (December–January), targeting a CSE rank
