Sir I passed my 10th in 2024 with 91% marks ..... Later I decided to continue my 11th in the same school but their the classes started from mid August ....... I started going to school but soon my health started to degrade very much .... So I was unable to attend my classes and had attendance of only 18% till January and also I could not give my exams properly ...... Then after that I took TC from that school and took admission in another school in 11th again and I am in 11th and preparing for JEE ....... Please tell me what problems I will face in future college admissions , placements and if I prepare for govt jobs ( like bank PO/ SBI PO, UPSC , SSB etc ) will I get any problem in the interview or documents verification time .

Ans: Should not face any problems. Lot of students do take break between 10th and 12th for IIT or NEET. So there should not be an issue with this.

sir i am ayush , i passed my 10th in 2024 with 91% marks ..... then i took admission in 11th in the same school but soon i got Asthma and later on jaundice , so i could neither go to school nor study ...... now my health is ok ........ i took TC from my school and took admission in another school in class 11th again ..... means i am repeating class 11th ...... i am preparing JEE ..... will my gap year/11th repeat cause any problem in future college admissions and job interviews or placements....... will i have to show some proof of my illness ? because i don't have any prescriptions because i got cured with ayurvedic medicines ...... sir please answer my questions should i make a gap year certificate sir ? ..... if yes what should i write on it ? means i should write that i took admission in 11th but because of health issues i could not go to school or simply write that i had to take a gap year after 10th due to illness .
Ans: Hi AYUSH,

Yes, when applying for a job, they may inquire about your health. Sometimes they may accept your application, but other times they may not. This largely depends on the type of condition you have. Asthma and jaundice generally do not impact your studies.

For jaundice, recovery may take about 15 to 20 days, while asthma is a lifelong condition. The important thing is to take your medication consistently and without any gaps. Therefore, having asthma or jaundice shouldn't be a dealbreaker for your application.

Sometimes, revealing the truth about your condition, rather than fabricating reasons, can improve your chances of getting hired.

Always avoid fraudulent activities, as they can lead to lost job opportunities and damage your trustworthiness.

So, be honest.

BEST WISHES.

Hello sir, I'm currently preparing for jee mains and advanced and also for class 12th as a private candidate for improvement. My story is that- i first gave my boards as a regular student in 2024 from cbse but i didn't pass in one subject, also couldn't clear my compartment also..I was at my lowest it was a very disturbing time in my life. Then i decided to give it my all so, i reappeared in boards 2025 as a failure students in all the subjects I scored 70% and passed every subject. I only focused on the boards no jee. I got some offers from private colleges but i wasn't satisfied. So i searched a bit and got to know that I still I one more chance for JEE ADVANCED as a I passed my 12th in 2025 means this year's but my percentage are not upto the eligibility criteria so I'm giving improvement exam for that. I wanted to ask like in future while college placements or job interviews will this 2 years of gap will affect my opportunities for jobs in good companies. I talked to some seniors they said it might do cuz the market is already very crowded. But it also depends upon my college cpga or projects and my skills. I'm bit scared of it although I know that it was anyway gonna be a question in future but still I want to how should I be prepared for it , what should I do in future that makes its less noticeable? Please suggest
Ans: First of all, don’t worry too much. In your life, five years will pass anyway! Many students experience setbacks in their academic journey, and what matters most is how you bounce back. In placements and job interviews, gaps are noticed, but they don’t define your future. Companies mainly look at your college CGPA, the quality of your projects, internships, problem-solving ability, and communication skills. Your two-year struggle will matter far less if you can demonstrate strong technical skills, good internships, and consistent performance during your B.Tech. To minimize the gap's visibility, focus on building a solid profile: keep your CGPA decent. When asked about your past, be honest but frame it positively. Say you faced setbacks, but you worked hard, improved, and learned resilience. That narrative actually shows maturity. Instead of being scared, use this as motivation to build yourself stronger in the next four years. If you do that, those two years will hardly matter.
Finally, forget what happened with you. Complete your B. Tech. in your preferred branch. Focus on your future without overthinking. With proper management, your future is in your hands! Failure makes a person wiser, a hard worker, and better at handling any situation.

Good luck.

Hi, everyone i really need ur help... I passed my 10th in 2021. After that, I wasn’t able to clear 12th in 2023, 2024, and 2025, but I finally passed 12th in 2026 because I was in depression as my mom was really sick and i m the only child (elder) to take care of her and my father, we both were there to look after her from past two years we both are suffering from her condition so i wasnt be able to concentrate and focus on my studies tbh.I also appeared for jee in 2026 for the first time, but my percentile was not good (50%). I am planning to appear again in 2027, and I still have a valid attempt left. If I manage to get a good rank in JEE Main 2027, will I be eligible for admission in nit iiit or others or not? Will they give me admission in their college as someone told me even if u crack jee they will not give u any admission in their college. Will my multiple attempts in 12th or the gap years affect my admission in any way in nit iiit? Will it affect my placement in future? Please help i m really suffering from family issues and manymore from many year I need good job and college to stabilize my parents life !
Ans: Yes, if you qualify in JEE Main 2027 and meet the basic eligibility rules like age, number of attempts, and passing 12th, you can get admission to NITs, IIITs, and other colleges through centralized counseling. Having multiple attempts in 12th or taking gap years between 2021 and 2026 does not automatically stop you from getting admission. Colleges mainly check that you have passed 12th and meet the JEE cutoffs.

When it comes to job placements later, companies usually focus on your CGPA during your degree, projects, internships, coding skills, and communication—not on how many times you took 12th or any past gaps. You may need to explain any gap briefly in interviews in a positive and confident way. For now, focus on preparing well for JEE 2027, taking care of your mental health, and building a strong engineering profile. This will help you get into a good college and secure a stable job to support your parents. However, given your academic performance and background, it is highly important—and strongly advisable—to have 4–5 backup options rather than relying solely on JEE. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future!

Marriage counsellor - Answered on May 14, 2026

Relationship
I went through a divorce around three years ago, and along with the marriage ending, I also lost daily connection with my son. At that time I genuinely tried everything possible to save the relationship and solve issues peacefully, but nothing worked out in the end. It took me a long time just to emotionally accept what happened. Now my parents are constantly pressuring me to get married again. Their main point is that my ex-wife has already moved on and remarried, so they feel I should also 'settle down' and restart life. I understand their concern, and somewhere I know they want me to be happy, but emotionally I still feel stuck between the past and the future. A part of me misses my son deeply, another part fears going through emotional pain again, and at the same time I also don’t want to spend life completely alone. How does someone genuinely know they are mentally ready for a second marriage after a painful divorce and separation from a child? Is it wrong if healing is taking longer than what family members expect
Ans: Hello sir..I hope you are in good health. Sir, divorce actually is a very painful process. To accept it and to move is not easy. I completely understand your situation. And there is no fixed timing for a person to heal. It may take long duration to get out of that trauma. But sir, to come out of it is in your hands. I m not saying that choosing another partner will definitely solve your problems. You can choose another ways to overcome the feelings and pain you are dealing with. You can go for regular counsellings, meditation, yoga, you can persue any of your hobbies. This will relax your mind and you will start healing. After that you can take whatever decision you want to take but fir that also fix a timeline for yourself as our brain is trained to work according to the timelines. I hope this will help you.
