Hello sir I have a gap year after 10th means I have repeated class 11th due to serious illness ..... Will it affect my addmission in IIT/NIT ..... Placements ..... Cat interview calls or mtech interviews ...... Sir please answer me I am so stressed .... Your reply is valuable thank you sir

Ans: Yes, this is considered at the time of job application, not at the time of admission.

You can mention a serious illness, but during the interview, it’s important that the interviewer perceives it as serious without it negatively impacting your employment opportunities. If you are seen as someone with health issues, recruiters may be hesitant to take the risk of hiring you. So, be prepared for this situation.

Hello Sir, I have a gap year between my 10th and 11th class due to some health issues , means I passed 10th in 2020 and 12th in 2023, WILL IT CREATE ANY PROBLEM IN MY CAREER, PLACEMENTS AND LIFE?.....Currently I am BTech CSE student at NIT Surathkal

Ans: The answer is NO because you had a good reason to take a break from studying. You will have to show proof, though, that you really did have health problems in 2020-21. NIT-Suratkal is one of the best NITs, and you got into it in CSE too. Don't worry. Keep your CGPA high until last year. Involve in co/extra-curricular activities. Improve your Soft Skills too. Keep upgrading your skills from NPTEL, Internshala, and other resources, or do what your institute's CS departments tell you to do till your 4th year. Get ready for Campus Recruitment well. You'll get through this for sure. All the BEST for Your Prosperous Future.

sir i am ayush , i passed my 10th in 2024 with 91% marks ..... then i took admission in 11th in the same school but soon i got Asthma and later on jaundice , so i could neither go to school nor study ...... now my health is ok ........ i took TC from my school and took admission in another school in class 11th again ..... means i am repeating class 11th ...... i am preparing JEE ..... will my gap year/11th repeat cause any problem in future college admissions and job interviews or placements....... will i have to show some proof of my illness ? because i don't have any prescriptions because i got cured with ayurvedic medicines ...... sir please answer my questions should i make a gap year certificate sir ? ..... if yes what should i write on it ? means i should write that i took admission in 11th but because of health issues i could not go to school or simply write that i had to take a gap year after 10th due to illness .

Yes, when applying for a job, they may inquire about your health. Sometimes they may accept your application, but other times they may not. This largely depends on the type of condition you have. Asthma and jaundice generally do not impact your studies.

For jaundice, recovery may take about 15 to 20 days, while asthma is a lifelong condition. The important thing is to take your medication consistently and without any gaps. Therefore, having asthma or jaundice shouldn't be a dealbreaker for your application.

Sometimes, revealing the truth about your condition, rather than fabricating reasons, can improve your chances of getting hired.

Always avoid fraudulent activities, as they can lead to lost job opportunities and damage your trustworthiness.

So, be honest.

Sir I passed my 10th in 2024 with 91% marks ..... Later I decided to continue my 11th in the same school but their the classes started from mid August ....... I started going to school but soon my health started to degrade very much .... So I was unable to attend my classes and had attendance of only 18% till January and also I could not give my exams properly ...... Then after that I took TC from that school and took admission in another school in 11th again and I am in 11th and preparing for JEE ....... Please tell me what problems I will face in future college admissions , placements and if I prepare for govt jobs ( like bank PO/ SBI PO, UPSC , SSB etc ) will I get any problem in the interview or documents verification time .

Ans: Should not face any problems. Lot of students do take break between 10th and 12th for IIT or NEET. So there should not be an issue with this.

Ans: Your son has a reasonable chance of getting ECE at some NITs/NE-region institutes or other government engineering colleges, especially through the home-state/region quota and later counseling rounds, though institute quality will vary. Keep a close eye on the counselling process and fill out the preference order very carefully. On the safer side, keep another option ready as a backup.

Ans: Based on your daughter's score, CSE/IT/AI-ML in NITs or IIITs is very difficult in regular JoSAA, even with the MP home-state/female benefit. Still, fill JoSAA + CSAB special rounds very broadly. In CSAB, try GFTIs and lower-demand branches first; CSE-related branches may be possible only if vacant seats remain. For MP, her best practical route is MP DTE counselling for colleges like UIT RGPV Bhopal, JEC Jabalpur, SGSITS/other state colleges if the branch cutoff permits, plus private options. Other backup options she must have for CSE/AI-ML/IT are LNCT, Oriental, Medicaps, Acropolis, IES, Bansal, SAGE, or nearby private universities. Also consider ECE/Electrical if college quality is better. All the BEST for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future!

With 82 percentile in JEE mains 2026 of OBC ncl which top government colleges can have chances with CSE or Electrical or MCSE

Ans: Chances at top government colleges for CSE/Electrical/MCSE are unlikely, i.e., slim or zero. But you may have chances at lower-demand state government engineering colleges and some less-competitive GFTIs/spot rounds.

Sir, my daughter got 1.45 lakh rank in jee mains as sc category. Please tell options for her considering she has interest in cse, mnc, electrical. You can tell any pvt/govt options since we just want a good college for her. Her boards result will be probably 90%, her 10th board result was 97%

Ans: You have not mentioned your daughter's home state to answer precisely for private college options in and around your state. For regular JoSAA, CSE/MnC in good NITs/IIITs may be difficult, but she should still fill lower NITs, newer IIITs and GFTIs broadly. Best targets are NIT Agartala, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Puducherry for Electrical/ECE/core branches, and GFTIs for CSE/IT. In CSAB Special Rounds, all ranks are considered again for vacant seats, so she should not miss it. For CSE-focused backup, it's better to also apply to state counselling and 4-5 private colleges in and around your State. All the BEST for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future!

Ans: Chances are almost Nil with NITs/IIITs. But you may keep a slim hope only for very low-demand branches in far lower-cutoff NITs during CSAB special rounds, not something to rely on realistically. Better to explore more options other than NITs or IIITs

Ans: It is better to choose a reputable NIT/IIIT over a typical private college, even with a non-core branch, unless your son is specifically committed to CSE/ECE. Choose a private college if it is highly rated!

Sir, I am a open category male, scored 98.31 percentile in Jee mains 2026. My rank is 26879 and I am looking for CSE in mid IIIT's,or in NITs if possible. Also please tell me whether I will be getting a better NIT or IIIT in CSAB for CSE or is it good that I shall go for it or not. I am basically residing in Mumbai and my home state is Maharashtra.

Ans: You have realistic chances for CSE in several mid-tier IIITs and possibly lower-cutoff NIT CSE/IT in later rounds, and CSAB is absolutely worth trying because CSE seats often open up there, but treat it as an upgrade opportunity, not a guarantee of a “better” college. It would be better to keep a backup option ready from a safer point of view.

which is better CSE in HBTU or Chemical engineering in NIT Surat or in Nit Jalandhar

Ans: If possible, prefer CSE @ HBTU. Choose NIT Chemical only if you specifically prefer brand tag/core engineering over the branch. The final choice will be yours.

Ans: Based on your score, even with EWS female + Jharkhand home quota, NIT Jamshedpur is not realistic. Still, you must register for JoSAA + CSAB Special Rounds. In CSAB, try very broadly for GFTIs, lower-demand branches, and institutes like BIT Mesra off-campuses, Assam University Silchar, Mizoram University, Gurukula Kangri, Central University of Jharkhand/Rajasthan/Haryana, if seats remain. CSAB conducts special vacant-seat rounds after JoSAA. Prepare seriously for COMEDK, use CUET for B.Sc./BCA/other degree options, and also apply to Jharkhand state counselling/private colleges instead of relying only on JoSAA/CSAB.
