I am from Nepal and i passed high school few months back. I want to pusue B.tech( Computer Science and Engineering) in China as major univerisities are giving scholarships for international students. I am thinking to go for Nanjing Tech Univeristy or Nantong University. My sister and parents are telling not to study in India because they have heard degree from chinese universities is waste and is not valued if i want to go for masters in USA in future. And also because of cultural similarity, it would be better to go india. But due to not-so good score in high school and entrance exam, i have to get admission in private institutions in india like : KIIT, Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetham , VIT,etc. I am so confused on what path to take, please suggest if anyone has information regarding this: 1. Whether i should think of pursueing in india or china 2. Is china degree from the univeristies i mentioned not good and not valued in western countries? 3. Is the english taught program of chinese Univeristies not good? 4. Is it better to go in private institutions of india mentioned for B.tech than going to china?

Ans: Hello, first and foremost thank you for reaching out to us. To answer your question, if your desire is to eventually study for a master’s degree in the USA then it would be ideal to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the USA itself. In terms of scholarships, the universities in the USA also provide plenty of scholarships for international students. Since the cultural differences are a cause of concern, instead of studying in China you can complete your undergraduate degree here in India and then easily apply for a master’s program in the USA.

If you wish to pursue your bachelor’s or master’s in the USA you can contact our expert counselors and they will assist you in picking and going through with the application process to the top universities in the USA.

I am in class 12th right now and I have attempted JEE mains and scored 95% percentile and in my class 11th I had scored 82% and in class 10th 84% and I was hoping for 85% in my class 12th and according to my JEE mains percentile I don't think I will get a very good college in CS so I was looking for some backup which is going to abroad for undergrad and I came to some conclusion that I have few options to go and one of them is Germany as they have zero tuition fees and some other countries also like Singapore,Hong Kong,Netherlands but I am not getting coming to final decision. 1.my first choice will be INDIA if I score good in JEE and a good college is allotted and my total cost comes under 10 lakhs 2.my backups are germany, singapore,HK,other EU countries with less tution fees and stability 2.1Coming to Germany in bachelors I came to know that 12L to 15L per year is required for public universities(living cost 12 to 15) and I explored it's pathways to entry and till now I figured it as 2nd option 2.2other EU, English speaking countries will be taken only if I get good scholarships 2.3singapore is also good based on opportunities and it's academically strong requirements and based on my score I can target SIT but I don't think I can get into NTU
Ans: Hello. Thank you for contacting us. First and foremost, congratulations on scoring 95% in your JEE mains examination. It is good to hear that you want to pursue further education. Based on the information provided by you, it seems that you are still in the evaluation stage for your further studies. Considering factors such as your score in JEE and your good scores in previous education, you may consider the following:

1. Studying in countries like Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, and European countries will open new pathways for learning, global exposure, recognition in other nations, and better employment opportunities.

2. The option of studying abroad can be viable if the tuition fees align with your budget.

3. Additionally, consider the scope of studying the program, opportunities for growth in the field, the value of the program in the market, and demand for the field in the global market. Also check the requirements and feasibility of entry into different universities.

At the end, the final decision about studying abroad should be based on your future goals, finances, and job prospects. Ensure that you do thorough research on all aspects related to your education. Also, it would be good that you wait for your 12th grade grades and let us know the same so that we may guide you accordingly.

I am from Bihar. I got 12581 Gen-Ews rank and 88442 CRL in JEE Mains 2025. I got 5415 Gen-EWS rank in JEE Advanced 2025 and didn't qualified CRL. I am in class 12th so should I take a drop? Or should I just go for any college? And what colleges can I get? Am I eligible for IITs?
Ans: Mayank, Based on comprehensive analysis of your JEE Main CRL 88,442 and Gen-EWS 12,581 ranks, coupled with JEE Advanced Gen-EWS 5,415 rank, admission to IITs is unlikely as 2025 closing ranks for Gen-EWS in core branches at newer IITs (e.g., IIT Goa, Palakkad, Jammu) historically range between 2,000–4,000, while premier IITs require sub-1,000 ranks. However, your JEE Main Gen-EWS rank (12,581) positions you for NITs like NIT Patna (Civil/Mechanical), NIT Durgapur (Metallurgy), or IIIT Bhagalpur (ECE) under EWS quota, with 2024 cutoffs for these branches closing around 12,000–15,000 Gen-EWS ranks. State colleges like BIT Mesra (through JEE Main) or LNCT Bhopal (CSE via MP counselling) are viable backups with ~80% placement rates. While a drop year could improve your Advanced rank to target IIT Bhilai/Goa (Gen-EWS cutoff ~4,000–5,000), this requires rigorous preparation given rising competition. Prioritize securing NIT/IIIT admission now, leveraging their strong industry ties, while considering a drop only if fully committed to disciplined, stress-managed preparation for marginal IIT gains. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!

My friend got 74.6% in 12th cbse board and 63 percentile in jee mains (after a drop year). She is going to pursue IITM BS in data science and application with Btech CSE from any private colleges in indore. She is thinking of taking a non attending college but having second thoughts as btech is itself a major course which will require much more time with efforts. So please suggest if she should go for attending or non attending college in indore.
Ans: Based on comprehensive analysis of AICTE guidelines, academic validity, and practical training requirements, attending a regular BTech CSE program at a recognized private college in Indore is strongly recommended over non-attending/distance options, which are invalid for technical degrees per Supreme Court rulings. While IITM BS Data Science offers flexibility, pursuing it alongside a non-attending BTech risks academic credibility, as distance/online engineering programs lack mandatory lab work, industry exposure, and AICTE recognition, rendering degrees invalid for government jobs or higher studies. Top Indore institutions like LNCT, Acropolis ITR, or Medi-Caps University provide structured curricula, hands-on projects, and placement support (~70-80% placement rates), crucial for skill development despite time commitments. Conversely, juggling IITM BS with a valid BTech demands rigorous time management, but attending colleges allow academic continuity, peer collaboration, and access to campus recruitment—advantages absent in non-attending setups. Given her JEE Main percentile, target mid-tier private colleges with moderate attendance flexibility, ensuring AICTE approval and curriculum alignment with IITM BS coursework. Prioritize institutional credibility over convenience to safeguard career prospects. All the BEST for your Friend's Admission & a Prosperous Future!
