Dear Mayank Sir,
I am sure many people are facing my problem but my problem is that I don’t know how to solve it.
In my office, there are people who like to work late and on holidays and on weekends.
They shine in the eyes of the boss.
I think it is okay to do it sometimes when needed, but wrong to do all the time. One should complete work in office hours and if work load is too much, discuss with the boss so that one can have a personal life which is important as well.
But these people make the rest of us look bad even if we are good at work.
How to solve this problem without making the boss unhappy and affecting appraisals?

Hi Shaina,

Most good organisations nowadays do not encourage the culture that you have mentioned.

In case it is there with your boss, you can discuss with the top management and understand what culture they want in the company.

If it's a progressive company, then they will certainly not judge someone by their long work hours because, at the end of the day, that will burn you out.

Just focus on your job and don't get into office politics.

Hello my name is yash I have completed by studies in bsc it I have done jobs of cashier and application support analyst during my studies. No my studies are over I find myself to fit in job as per requirement but I am not satisfied sometimes I feel I am not meant for this I have issues from office like work extra over over time. I want to ask is there everywhere over time of employees to be spend 10-12 hours in office. Secondly I feel that should work in environment where I can move and do work means field work in which I feel I am not bounded in short I want work life balance. I love to read books, I love to do on ground activities in back of my mind I have civil services plan in which I have a permission to work freely. But condition is that how can I do if office demands max hours of my life it's bit confusing for me

I am working as Branch Manager in Bank. My nature is more talkative and also due to my job many customers are meeting me. This fact increases my talkative nature and due to this though customer is satisfying my working time get reduced and I can't do my office work. Please advice about how to overcome this.

Unless you are fully committed to CS and willing to take the private route seriously, choose IIEST Shibpur, learn coding alongside, and aim for software jobs. It’s safer, cheaper, and offers long-term value. Frankly speaking, talking and thinking in terms of money and payment at this stage is useless. No one knows what will happen after 4-5 years in this changing field. Your job is to learn and excel in the course you are studying. Don't chase money; instead, let money chase you. Develop your capabilities and give your best with studies and extracurricular activities.
